The upper house of the Virginia General Assembly,the Senate of Virginia,held its next elections on November 7,2023.

A member of the Democratic Party,she was first elected in 2021 to succeed retiring Democrat Hala Ayala. Sewell represents parts of Prince William County,including the towns of Lake Ridge and Nokesville.
The 2024 West Virginia House of Delegates elections will be held on November 5,2024,alongside elections to the presidency,governorship,U.S. Senate,U.S. House of Representatives,and other offices. Primary elections were held on May 14,2024.
