John Forsberg (born 15 April 1932) [1] is an Australian Paralympic lawn bowls player. He was born in Melbourne and is an amputee. [1] At the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games, he won two silver medals in the Men's Pairs A6/8 and Men's Singles A6/8events. [2] At the 1988 Seoul Paralympics, he won a bronze medal in the Men's Singles LB3 event. [2] He won five gold medals at the 1990 and 1993 world championships. [1] He also competed in lawn bowls at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics. [2]

John Lindsay, OAM is an Australian Paralympic athlete from Melbourne. He competed in the 1988 Seoul games in distances ranging from 100 m to 800 m, but did not win any medals. At the 1992 Barcelona Games, he won a gold medal in the Men's 200 m TW3 event, for which he received a Medal of the Order of Australia, a silver medal in the Men's 100 m TW3 event and a bronze medal in the Men's 400 m TW3 event. That year, he had a Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship. He was also working as a fitness instructor in 1992, held world records in the 100 m and 200 m events, and was ranked 6th in the world in the 400 m. He won a gold medal in the men's athletics 100 m T52 event at the 1996 Summer Paralympics with a time of 15.22, a silver medal in the 200 m T52 event with a time of 27.38, and a bronze medal in the 400 m T52 event with a time of 52.93. At the 2000 Sydney Games, he won a gold medal in the Men's 100 m T53 event, a silver medal as part of the Men's 4x100 m Relay T54 team, and a bronze medal in the Men's 200 m T53 event; he was also part of the Men's 4x400 m Relay T54 team, which was the only one to qualify in its heat, but it did not make it to the finals. At the 2004 Athens Games, he came seventh in the first round of the Men's 100 m T53 event and sixth in the third round of the Men's 200 m T53 event. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder in 1995 and 2000.

Neville Albert Read was an Australian Paralympic lawn bowls player. He won a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Games in the Men's Wheelchair Singles 2–6 event. He also competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze medal in the Men's Triples Physically Disabled.

David Boldery is an Australian Paralympic lawn bowls player. At the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games, he won a bronze medal in the Men's Singles A2/4 event. At the 1988 Seoul Games, he won a silver medal in the Men's Pairs LB2 event with Clifford Swann.

Stan Kosmala is an Australian Paralympic competitor, who has competed in athletics, wheelchair basketball, lawn bowls and shooting. Born in Germany, he contracted polio at the age of two. He is married to Paralympic shooter Libby Kosmala, whom he met through wheelchair sport, and has two sons and two grandchildren.

Eric Magennis is an Australian Paralympic lawn bowls player and archer. He first represented Australia in lawn bowls at the 1970 Commonwealth Paraplegic Games in Edinburgh, where he won a pairs gold medal. At the 1972 Heidelberg Paralympics, he participated in archery and became the first Australian to win a gold medal in the lawn bowls Men's Singles event. He won two further Paralympic gold medals, one with Bruce Thwaite at the 1976 Toronto Games in the Men's Pairs wh event and the other with Roy Fowler at the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games in the Men's Pairs paraplegic event. He retired from international competition in 1986, having won 78 out of the 85 games which he played over his 16-year career.

Bruce Oliver Thwaite was an Australian Paralympic competitor. During World War II, he sustained a spinal injury when he landed on a tree after parachuting from a bomber plane over Germany. He was treated at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lawn bowls at the Summer Paralympics</span>

Lawn bowls has been contested at Summer Paralympics on six occasions, first appearing on the schedule in 1968 and having its most recent outing at the 1996 games. The competitions were initially divided by sex, with singles and doubles events for men and women. In 1976, divisions by disability category were introduced, greatly expanding the number of events and medals. Participation peaked at the 1976 edition, with 80 entrants from 13 countries competing in 16 events. Great Britain was the most successful nation in this sport at each of the games it was held.

Peter Ronald Horne is a New Zealand Paralympian who competed in lawn bowls. At the 1988 Summer Paralympics, he won a gold medal in the Singles LB3, and a bronze medal in the Pairs LB2. He also competed at the 1996 Summer Paralympics.

Rosa Crean is a British Paralympian. She competed in lawn bowling at the 1996 Summer Paralympics, winning a gold medal for Great Britain.
