John Harding (dates unknown) was an English first-class cricketer who played for Surrey in one match in 1809,totalling 28 runs with a highest score of 19. [1]
Warren Gamaliel Harding was the 29th president of the United States,serving from March 4,1921 until his death on August 2,1923. A member of the Republican Party,he was one of the most popular sitting U.S. presidents. After his death,a number of scandals were exposed,including Teapot Dome,as well as an extramarital affair with Nan Britton,which diminished his reputation.
The 1920 United States presidential election was the 34th quadrennial presidential election,held on Tuesday,November 2,1920. In the first election held after the end of the World War and the first election after the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment,Republican Senator Warren G. Harding of Ohio defeated Democratic Governor James M. Cox of Ohio. Both major-party vice-presidential nominees would later succeed to the Presidency:Calvin Coolidge (Republican) upon Harding's death in 1923 and Franklin D. Roosevelt (Democratic) after defeating Republican President Herbert Hoover in 1932. This was one of only six presidential elections where both major candidates had the same home state.
Tonya Maxene Price is an American former figure skater,retired boxer and a reality television personality. Born in Portland,Oregon,Harding was raised primarily by her mother,who enrolled her in ice skating lessons beginning at three years old. Harding spent much of her early life training,eventually dropping out of high school to devote her time to the sport. After climbing the ranks in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships between 1986 and 1989,Harding won the 1989 Skate America competition. She became the 1991 and 1994 U.S. champion before being stripped of her 1994 title,and 1991 World silver medalist. In 1991,she became the first American woman and the second woman in history to successfully land a triple Axel in competition. Harding is a two-time Olympian and a two-time Skate America Champion.
Jacques Offenbach was a German-born French composer,cellist and impresario of the Romantic period. He is remembered for his nearly 100 operettas of the 1850s to the 1870s,and his uncompleted opera The Tales of Hoffmann. He was a powerful influence on later composers of the operetta genre,particularly Johann Strauss Jr. and Arthur Sullivan. His best-known works were continually revived during the 20th century,and many of his operettas continue to be staged in the 21st. The Tales of Hoffmann remains part of the standard opera repertory.

Baron Harding of Petherton,of Nether Compton in the County of Dorset,is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1958 for Field Marshal Sir John Harding. William Henry Meredith was a Welsh professional footballer. He was considered one of the early superstars of football due to his performances,notably for Manchester City and Manchester United. He won each domestic trophy in the English football league and gained 48 caps for Wales,for whom he scored 11 goals and won two British Home Championship titles. The 1924 Pittsburgh Panthers football team was an American football team that represented the University of Pittsburgh as an independent during the 1924 college football season. In its first season under head coach Jock Sutherland,the team compiled a 5–3–1 record and outscored opponents by a total of 98 to 43. The team played its home games at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.
