Both cricket and rugby are played at the 1,200-capacity John Hunter Grounds in Limavady, Northern Ireland.
Rugby was first played in Limavady in the year 1922. On September 14th 1968 both cricket and rugby clubs in Limavady were merged. This was marked by an opening at the John Hunter Grounds, Limavady as the club's permanent home. The day is always remembered for a cricket match between the full West Indies side led by the great Sir Gary Sobers playing against an Ireland XV, and a Rugby game between an Irish XV led by Noel Murphy (former British Lions coach).
In 2004 it hosted a 3-day match, Ireland v MCC, and in the same year they hosted a one-day match, Ireland v Bangladesh.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known locally as The 'G, is an Australian sports stadium located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Founded and managed by the Melbourne Cricket Club, with 95,000 seats and an additional 5,000 capacity in standing room for a total of just over 100,000 it is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, the 11th largest globally, and the second-largest cricket ground by capacity, after the Narendra Modi Stadium. The MCG is within walking distance of the city centre and is served by Richmond and Jolimont railway stations, as well as the route 70, route 75, and route 48 trams. It is adjacent to Melbourne Park and is part of the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Precinct.
Eden Park is a sports venue in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located three kilometres southwest of the Auckland CBD, on the boundary between the suburbs of Mount Eden and Kingsland. The main stadium has a nominal capacity of 50,000, and is sometimes referred to as New Zealand's national stadium. William Raymond Hunter was a Northern Irish cricketer and rugby union player. He played for Ireland in both sports. In cricket he won 28 international caps and played in 11 first-class matches. In rugby he played ten times for Ireland in the Five Nations, scoring one try. He also played for the British and Irish Lions.
