On August 16, 2023, McMillon was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. [5] On August 30, the Royals placed McMillon on the 15-day injured list with a strained right forearm. [6]

McMillon was optioned to the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers to begin the 2024 season. [7] In 28 appearances for Omaha, he struggled to a 6.53 ERA with 35 strikeouts across 30+13 innings pitched. McMillon was designated for assignment by the Royals on July 30, 2024. [8]

Miami Marlins

On August 2, 2024, McMillon was claimed off waivers by the Miami Marlins. [9] In 10 appearances for the Marlins, he compiled a 2–1 record and 1.50 ERA with 13 strikeouts across 12 innings pitched. His season ended on September 12, when he was placed on the injured list with elbow tightness. [10]

Philadelphia Phillies

On November 4, 2024, McMillon was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies. [11] On November 19, he was removed from the 40-man roster and sent outright to the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs. [12]
