John Morra (born May 25, 1989) is a Canadian professional pool player. Morra has represented Canada at the World Cup of Pool on seven occasions, partnering Jason Klatt in 2011, 2012 and 2015, and Alex Pagulayan in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2019. Morra is a multiple time champion on the Canadian 9-Ball pool tour. [1] He reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Pool Masters. [2] In 2018, Morra switched from playing right handed to left handed due to a shoulder injury. However, he still breaks with a right-handed stroke, as he is unable to generate the required amount of power breaking left-handed. [3]

Personal life

Morra began playing tournament pool in Toronto, Ontario, where his family moved to when he was ten years old. [4] Both his parents, Mario Morra and Anita McMahon, have played professional pool and snooker.

John Schmidt is an American pool player, born in Keokuk, Iowa. Nicknamed "Mr. 600", specialising in straight pool, Schmidt held the record for the highest run made (626), until Jayson Shaw broke that record with a high run of 669 in January 2022. Schmidt won the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships in 2006 defeating Rodolfo Luat in the final. He was also part of the American team at two Mosconi Cups in 2006 and 2014.

Jayson Shaw is a Scottish professional pool player. In 2010, Shaw was a WPA World Blackball Champion. Shaw has won the Mosconi Cup seven times whilst representing Team Europe.

Joshua Filler is a German professional pool player from Bönen, Germany. In 2018 Filler defeated Carlo Biado 13–10 to win the 2018 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. In 2017 he was the youngest player to win the China Open, and in 2018 he also won the 10-ball European Pool Championships. Filler became WPA and Euro Tour world number 1 in 2019, and later he reached the final of the 2019 WPA World Ten-ball Championship before losing 10–7 to Ko Ping-chung.

Mateusz Śniegocki is a Polish professional pool player. Śniegocki is a former 10-Ball European champion and three-time winner of events at the Euro Tour.

Francisco Sánchez Ruíz is a Spanish professional pool player, nicknamed "The Ferrari" and by his initials "FSR". He won both the 2022 WPA World Eight-ball Championship and the 2023 WPA World Nine-ball Championship.

Han Yu is a Chinese professional pool player. She is a three time WPA World Nine-ball Championship women's champion, winning the event in 2013, 2016 and 2018. Han is also a semi-finalist in three further world championships, in 2017 in the nine-ball event, and 2011 and 2014 in ten-ball.
