John Townsend (born May 23, 1938) is a Wisconsin politician and legislator.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Townsend graduated from Wayne State University. He served on the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Common Council. Townsend was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1999. [1] In October 2009, Townsend announced his retirement from politics, confirming that he would not seek re-election. [2]

The county was created in the Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and later organized in 1844. Opened in 2001, the school replaced the former Goodrich High School, which was the city's high school from 1922 to 2001. Fond du Lac High School has an enrollment of approximately 2000 students. Fond du Lac High School's athletic teams are known as the Cardinals.
State Trunk Highway 145 is a 24.7-mile (39.8 km) state highway in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties in Wisconsin, United States, that connects the northwest suburbs of Milwaukee with the city's downtown. For much of its route, the highway is known as Fond du Lac Avenue.

Thomas Wilson Spence was an Irish American immigrant, lawyer, and politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the city of Fond du Lac during the 1877 and 1879 sessions. As a young man, he was one of the "Ohio Five", who were among the early students of Cornell University. Spence rose to legal prominence in Milwaukee, and died of a heart attack in the chambers of the Wisconsin Supreme Court while making oral arguments. "He died with his tie on."
