John Trotter (born 1966, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England) is an English and Australian drummer.

He began playing the drums aged 11. He studied with Barry Black at Ronnie's Drum Shop and made his first recordings in the shops basement studio aged 14. He became a full-time professional on leaving school at 16 with The Don Smith Band at Newcastle’s Mayfair Ballroom. After playing many cabaret clubs, cruise ships and summer seasons, he moved to London in 1985. [1] [2]

Initially playing with The Andy Ross Orchestra, John became a respected member of the ‘Session Community’ covering all aspects of the music industry, accompanying artists such as Robbie Williams, Hot Chocolate, Cliff Richard, The Corrs, Georgie Fame, Ruby Turner, Colin Blunstone, Chris Thompson & Stevie Lange, Barbara Dickson, The Drifters, Robert Hart, James Belushi, Tony Burrows, The Three Degrees, Chris Farlowe, Jimmy Barnes, Dame Edna Everage and Rolf Harris, toured with The Peter Green Splinter Group and The Moody Marsden Band (featuring original Whitesnake guitarists Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden).

In 1996, Trotter became a member of Manfred Mann's Earth Band for the Soft Vengeance Tour. MMEB recorded with him the live album Mann Alive . In the spring of 2000 he left the band. [2]
Manfred Mann's Earth Band is an English rock band formed by South African musician Manfred Mann. Their hits include covers of Bruce Springsteen's "For You", "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirit in the Night". After forming in 1971 and despite a short hiatus in the late 1980s/early 1990s, the Earth Band continues to perform and tour.

Upon leaving MMEB, John joined the reformed Prog Rock band Greenslade. [1] The lineup consisted of founding members Dave Greenslade (keys / composer), Tony Reeves (bass), Trotter (drums) and ex-Asia keyboard player / vocalist John Young. A live album entitled '2001 Live - Full Edition' was released in 2002.

In 2002, Trotter relocated to Australia and became an Australian Citizen in 2007. [1]

Andrew McCulloch is an English drummer who worked with Fields, Greenslade, Manfred Mann, Anthony Phillips, Peter Banks, Crazy World of Arthur Brown and King Crimson in the 1970s before becoming a yachtmaster.
Alan White is an English drummer and songwriter best known for his tenure in the progressive rock band Yes, which he joined in 1972. Born and raised in County Durham, White took up piano and drum lessons as a youngster. In 1969, he joined the Plastic Ono Band after John Lennon invited him to play at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival festival. White went on to play on other recordings from artists such as George Harrison, Ginger Baker's Air Force, and Terry Reid, and Lennon's "Imagine".
Chris Slade is a Welsh rock musician and drummer, best known for playing for the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. He is the current drummer for the group, and previously drummed for the band from 1989 to 1994, performing on their 1990 album The Razors Edge along with their first live album with singer Brian Johnson, AC/DC Live. He returned to the band in February 2015 to replace Phil Rudd for the "Rock or Bust World Tour". Slade has also played with Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Tom Jones, Toomorrow, the Firm and Asia.

It has also been covered by The Eagles of Death Metal which was in the movie Super Troopers 2.

Procession were an Australian psychedelic pop, jazz band, formed in October 1967 by Craig Collinge on drums, Trevor Griffin on organ, Brian Peacock on bass guitar and vocals, Mick Rogers on lead guitar and lead vocals. They relocated to London in mid-1968 and released a self-titled studio album in the following year. Australian singer-songwriter, Ross Wilson took over on lead vocals in April 1969 but the group disbanded in September. Rogers later joined Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Collinge was later a member of British proto-punk band, Third World War, and briefly played drums in the notorious "fake" Fleetwood Mac in 1973. Wilson was later a member of Daddy Cool and a record producer, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 1989 and as a member of Daddy Cool in 2006.
Michael Joseph Moody is an English guitarist, and a former member of the rock bands Juicy Lucy and Whitesnake. He was also a founder-member of Snafu. Together with his former Whitesnake colleague Bernie Marsden he founded the Moody Marsden Band, and later, The Snakes, having previously collaborated with unofficial 5th Status Quo member Bob Young in Young & Moody. Along with Marsden and ex-Whitesnake bassist, Neil Murray, he formed The Company of Snakes and M3 Classic Whitesnake with which they mainly performed early Whitesnake songs. More recently, he has toured and recorded with Snakecharmer.

He is primarily known for his work with Whitesnake, having written or co-written with David Coverdale many of the group's hit songs, such as "Fool for Your Loving", "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues", "Lovehunter", "Trouble" and the multi-million selling chart-topper "Here I Go Again."
Watch is the eighth album by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, a studio album with several live tracks released in 1978. It is the first album recorded with new bassist Pat King, and the final album with original drummer Chris Slade. In West-Germany, it stayed 69 weeks in the charts, receiving platinum in 1981.
