John Ziegler aka "JohnZguitar" [1] is an American guitarist based in Los Angeles, California who plays in the groups VOLTO!, Bubbatron, Pigmy Love Circus, and is host of the long-running "Monday Night Jamz" [2] residency at The Baked Potato night club in Studio City, Los Angeles. [3]

Pigmy Love Circus is a Los Angeles rock band that has existed since the mid 1980s era of the Hollywood underground rock scene.

The Baked Potato Jazz club

The Baked Potato is a prominent jazz club on Cahuenga Boulevard in Studio City, Los Angeles, California, opened by Don Randi in 1970. Randi formed his own group, Don Randi and Quest, as the house band. Over the years it has hosted many live recordings from jazz fusion artists. Larry Carlton recorded Last Nite there in 1986. In 2010 The Baked Potato was named the Best Jazz Club in Los Angeles by Los Angeles magazine. They have cited it as a "mainstay for session players since 1975". Nick Menza of Megadeth collapsed and died while playing here with his band Ohm on May 21, 2016.

In 1996, John moved to Los Angeles to further his musical journey and eventually became close friends with drummer Danny Carey. This led to joining Pigmy Love Circus in 2002, and forming VOLTO! in 2003.

He has also contributed to albums by artists such as Zaum, Green Jellö, Pigface, Skinny Puppy, Adrian Belew of King Crimson, Carole King, Collide, Lusk, and the Melvins.

He is also a private guitar & bass instructor with 25+ years experience. [5] John is involved with the studio side of things too, performing an eclectic array of session work, recording, producing, and mixing a wide range of musical genres, with an open, artistic vision and mindset looking forward to future projects with his groups and always available for other artists. He suffered a near fatal stroke on July 16, 2017 after which a GoFundMe was set up by his bandmate Jamie Kime to pay for his medical costs. [6]

Carey and Ziegler played together in Pigmy Love Circus and in jam sessions at a jazz club in Southern California's San Fernando Valley with Morrison. Though the three musicians often played jazz fusion during the sessions, their music evolved to a sound more like progressive rock, as evidenced on their debut release Incitare.

John Beland

John Edward Beland is an American songwriter, session guitarist, recording artist, producer and author. Beland's career as guitarist started out in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, playing sessions and local live gigs with Kris Kristofferson, as well as future Eagles members, Glenn Frey and Bernie Leadon. Beland's first major break came in 1970, when he played lead guitar for a young Linda Ronstadt. He helped Ronstadt put together her first serious solo band, Swampwater. Along with bandmates Gib Guilbeau, Thad Maxwell and Stan Pratt, Swampwater toured the country with Ronstadt, appearing with her on many notable television shows including The Johnny Cash Show. Swampwater recorded two landmark country-rock albums for Starday-King and RCA Records. The group was one of the first Los Angeles bands to record in Nashville, known for their smooth harmonies and Cajun rock style.

The 1980 World Tour was a concert tour by English musician and composer Elton John, in support of his 14th studio album 21 at 33. the tour included two legs and a total of 63 shows.
