Jonathan Erdmann (born 12 March 1988 in Potsdam) [1] is a German beach volleyball player. He competed for Germany at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [2]
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court.

April Elizabeth Ross is an American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic medalist. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with Jennifer Kessy, a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Kerri Walsh Jennings, and a gold medal at 2020 Summer Olympics with Alix Klineman. Ross and Kessy were also the 2009 Beach Volleyball World Champions.

In 2011, along with Emanuel Rego he won the Swatch FIVB World Tour in Prague, Czech Republic. and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships in Netherlands. and the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio alongside teammate Bruno Schmidt. In 2019, Alison partnered with Álvaro Morais Filho. The team won their first gold medal at the FIVB Kuala Lumpur event. The duo will be also competing in the Tokyo 2020 journey.
Kay Matysik is a German male beach volleyball player. He competed for Germany at the 2012 Summer Olympics with team-mate Jonathan Erdmann. They were knocked out in the last 16. The same pair won the bronze medal at the 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championships, beating former world champions Alison Cerutti and Emanuel Rego in the bronze medal match.
Elsa Baquerizo McMillan is a Spanish beach volleyball player. As of 2012, she plays with Liliana Fernández. The Techniker Beach Tour was a series of professional beach volleyball tournaments held annually in Germany. Prior to the 2018 season, it was known as the Smart Beach Tour. The tour is organized by the German Volleyball Association, and each season ends with the German Beach Volleyball Championships held at Timmendorfer Beach.
Christian Sandlie Sørum is a Norwegian beach volleyball player. He won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
