Jonathan Gill is an American football coach and former player who was most recently the head coach of the LIU Sharks. He previously served as quarterbacks coach for seventeen seasons before being promoted to interim head coach upon the resignation of Bryan Collins.

A native of New York, Gill played college football as a quarterback for the University of Akron, but saw limited playing time. [1] He returned to his home state in 2004, accepting a position as quarterbacks coach for the LIU Post Pioneers. [2] In his second season, Gill helped Rob Blount earn the conference player of the year award. In 2009, Erik Anderwkavich received All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honors under Gill. He was also given the position of passing game coordinator in 2012. He remained in that position until 2021, when he was promoted to head coach after Bryan Collins resigned. [3] LIU started the season with a record of 0–5 before earning their first win against Central Connecticut on October 23. [4]

Michael Sid Canales is an American college football coach and former player. Prior to leading the Auburn Tigers, he coached the Boise State University Broncos from the 2014 season through the 2020 season where he posted a 69–19 overall record while at Boise. He began his head coaching career at Arkansas State University for the 2013 season. Harsin was the co-offensive coordinator at the University of Texas for two seasons where he played a major impact in the teams development on that side. Before leaving for Texas in 2011, Harsin was an assistant at Boise State for 10 seasons, the last five as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

The 2019 LIU Sharks football team represents both the LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn campuses of Long Island University in the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They are led by 22nd year head coach Bryan Collins and play their home games at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium. They play as a first–year member of the Northeast Conference. This is the first season that the LIU Sharks are competing as a team following the merger of the two LIU campuses' athletic departments in the summer of 2019.

James Ray Fuller is an American football coach and former defensive back who is currently the head coach of the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League (NAL). He played college football at Walla Walla CC and Portland State before being selected in the 8th round of the 1992 NFL Draft; he went on to play three seasons with the San Diego Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles while also spending time in the World League of American Football (WLAF) for the Scottish Claymores and Arena Football League (AFL) for the Portland Forest Dragons.
