Jonathan Wilson (born July 17, 1987) [2] is an American professional mixed martial artist. A professional since 2013, he has competed for the UFC, Bellator MMA, and Taura MMA, where he was the Light Heavyweight champion.
Born and raised in San Bernardino, California, Wilson began training in MMA with fighter Lorenz Larkin in 2007. [1]
Following an outstanding amateur career where he went 9–0, capturing King of the Cage and Xplode Fight Series Amateur Light Heavyweight Championships, Wilson also won his first six fights as a professional Heavyweight before being signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. [3]
Wilson made his promotional debut against Chris Dempsey at UFC Fight Night 73 on August 8, 2015. [4] He won the fight knockout in the first round. [5]
Wilson faced Henrique da Silva at UFC 199 on June 4, 2016. [6] He lost the fight TKO in the second round. [7]
Wilson next faced Ion Cuțelaba at UFC Fight Night 96 on October 1, 2016. [8] He lost the fight via unanimous decision. [9]
Wilson faced Oskar Piechota in a middleweight bout on October 21, 2017 at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Till. [10] He lost the fight via unanimous decision. [11]
On August 12, 2019, it was reported that Wilson was released from UFC. [12]
After the release, Wilson faced Derek Eason at Gladiator Challenge: Holiday Beatings on December 14, 2019. He won the fight via first-round submission.
Wilson next challenged Richardson Moreira for the Taura Light Heavyweight Championship at Taura MMA 11 on October 30, 2020. [13] He won the fight and claimed the championship via unanimous decision. [14]
Wilson announced that he was signing a multi-fight contract with Bellator and faced Jose Augusto in a Light heavyweight bout on April 2, 2021 at Bellator 255. [15] He lost the bout in the first round via arm triangle choke. [16]

Glover Lucas Teixeira is a Brazilian-American retired professional mixed martial artist. He competed in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Teixeira is a former member of the Brazilian National Wrestling Team and has competed in the WEC, Impact FC, PFC and Shooto. He is the second oldest UFC champion in history behind Randy Couture and the oldest first time champion in UFC history.
Gegard Mousasi is a Dutch mixed martial artist and former kickboxer. Mousasi most recently competed in Bellator MMA, where he is the former two-time Bellator Middleweight Champion. He is also the former DREAM Light Heavyweight Champion, former DREAM Middleweight Champion, former Cage Warriors World Middleweight Champion, and the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion, thus making Mousasi an overall six-time MMA world champion. Ryan DuWayne Bader is an American mixed martial artist currently signed to Bellator MMA where he is the current Bellator Heavyweight Champion in a continuous streak that is the longest of any Bellator Champion. He is also the former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion, and the winner of the 2018 Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix Tournament. At Bellator 214, Bader became the first fighter in Bellator history to become champion in two weight divisions simultaneously.
