Jonesboro Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Jonesboro, Texas (USA).
Located in Coryell County, small portions of the district extend into Hamilton and Bosque counties.
In February 2015 the district had 178 students. In February 2015 the Texas Education Agency ordered Jonesboro ISD to close permanently in July. It had received below standard academic ratings for the prior six years. [1] Jonesboro ISD began seeking an informal review in order to prevent its closure. [2] Superintendent Matt Dossey stated that he did not anticipate any permanent closure of the district. [3]
In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency. [4]

Klein Independent School District is a school district that covers 87.5 square miles (227 km2) in Harris County, Texas, United States. It became an independent school district in 1938. Almost all of the territory is unincorporated; a small portion of Houston is within the district. In the 2020–2021 school year, Klein ISD had 52,824 students. On July 1, 2013, it was closed by order of the state and absorbed into the Houston Independent School District (HISD).
