Confrontations with the authorities
On March 29,2000,Jonni Hansen was sentenced to one year in prison for serious violence and a two-year suspension of his driver's license for three months earlier having driven his car directly into a group of protesters who were sawing down the fence in front of his villa in Greve,where the DNSB exists. One of the protesters was seriously injured. Jonni Hansen appealed the sentence to the Eastern High Court,which increased the sentence to 1.5 years in prison. [2]
In connection with holding a demonstration in Kolding for Adolf Hitler's deputy Rudolf Hess on the 20th anniversary of his death,August 17,2007,Jonni Hansen was arrested and charged with violence against the police. He was subsequently remanded in custody until 30 August. On 1 November,he was sentenced to 60 days in prison for the offense - he asked for time to think about whether to appeal the sentence. [3]
On 11 October 2009,Jonni Hansen was charged with racism by the Attorney General. The accusation was that he,as chairman of DNSB,was responsible for the distribution of racist leaflets in Gladsaxe and Bagsværd in October and November 2006 respectively,and that these had been available on DNSB's website. Furthermore,the Attorney General considered it an aggravating circumstance,calling it propaganda. The leaflets with the headline "Denmark –wake up!",among other things,called for throwing out "the foreigners". Jonni Hansen stated to BT.dk that the accusation was an attempt to restrict freedom of expression,and that he was prepared to take the case to the Supreme Court. [4]
In April 2010,Jonni Hansen was indicted for violating the hate speech laws,as he was responsible for the content of some Nazi leaflets and for racist propaganda. He was summoned to a hearing at the court in Roskilde on Tuesday,the 13th of April 2010,accused of carrying out racist propaganda - with a demand for 4 months in prison,but was acquitted. [5]

The Belgian Negationism law, passed on 23 March 1995, bans public denial of nazi genocide war crimes like the Holocaust. Specifically, this law against negationism makes it illegal to publicly "deny, play down, justify or approve of the genocide committed by the German National Socialist regime during the Second World War". Prosecution is led by the Belgian Centre for Equal Opportunities. The offense is punishable by imprisonment of up to one year and fines of up to 2,500 EUR.

The National Socialist Movement of Denmark is a neo-Nazi political party in Denmark. The movement traces its origins back to National Socialist Workers' Party of Denmark, the Danish Nazi party founded in the mid-1930s, more or less as a copy of Adolf Hitler's German NSDAP. After the end of the Second World War, a few people continued under the original party name, and published the newspaper Fædrelandet during the period 1952–1972. The movement was dissolved, reformed, and renamed several times between 1972 and 1991. The current incarnation of Danmarks Nationalsocialistiske Bevægelse was founded on 1 September 1991 by Jonni Hansen.

Claus Barrit Bork Hansen, nicknamed "Karate Claus", was a Danish outlaw biker and gangster who served as the European sergeant-at-arms of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, as well as the president of the club's Hedehusene-based Mideast chapter. The Court of Impeachment of the Realm is a special court of the Kingdom of Denmark, that the Danish Parliament can assemble, to hear and deliver judgments against ministers accused of unlawful misconduct and maladministration of office. According to the wording of the Constitutional Act, the Queen can also demand that Ministers be impeached and brought before the Court of Impeachment. Hate speech in Denmark is outlawed by § 266b of the penal code, colloquially called the racism paragraph (racismeparagraffen), which outlaws threats, mockery and degradation against groups defined by race, skin colour, nationality, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. The law was originally introduced in 1939, prompted by the antisemitism of 1930s Germany, which had spread to Denmark.
