Jordan Levine (born June 30, 1986) is a midfielder lacrosse player for the Washington Bayhawks. [1]

Early life

Levine, who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, played baseball, basketball, and football at school. [2] [3] He started playing lacrosse when he was 13. [3] As a high school senior he was captain of his Bethpage High School team, and was named All-Nassau County in football and basketball (where he played point guard). [3] [4]

College

As a freshman season at University of Albany, where he majored in History, he was All-America East Conference (AAEC) and All-Rookie Team in lacrosse. He was named to the 2006 AAEC First Team, and in 2007 he set the Albany’s single-season NCAA Division I record with 91 GBs, and was AAEC Championship Team and First Team. He was named to the Jewish Sports Review College All-America team in 2007 and 2008, and in 2008 was also named AAEC First Team. [3] [5] Levine was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Second Team in his junior year, [6] and received an Honorable Mention the following year. Dartmouth's head coach Bill Wilson said in September 2007:

The biggest X-factor for Albany is Jordan Levine.... He's willing to go to the goal at any time. He's willing to push the tempo any time, and if you let him take his right hand down the alley, he can shoot on the run as well as most guys.... he sneaks up on you, and he's the fastest guy we saw all year. [8]

Albany head coach Scott Marr called him "an outstanding athlete". [9] In February 2008, Quint Kessenich of ESPN wrote: "Jordan Levine is legit". [10]

His career totals were 57 goals, 56 assists (eighth on Albany's all-time list), and 321 ground balls. [5]

Pro career

He was selected by the New Jersey Pride as the 10th pick in the first round of the 2008 MLL Collegiate Player draft. [3] [11] As a rookie, he had 14 points on 5 goals and 9 assists for Toronto. [5] [11]

He played for the Toronto Nationals as they won the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) championship in 2009. [3]

In February 2010 he was traded from Toronto to the Washington Bayhawks along with attackman Jeff Zywicki and defenseman Nick O’Hara for Kevin Huntley, midfielder Josh Sims, and two draft picks. [3] [5] [11] Washington General Manager Spencer Ford said: "Jordan Levine is an unbelievable transition midfielder who can play D, run between the lines and score. He will help us in a big way." Matt Danowski is a former professional lacrosse Attackman who played in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) for 12 seasons. He finished his career with the Chrome Lacrosse Club, announcing his retirement on February 22, 2021. He previously played for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, Charlotte Hounds, New York Lizards, and the New Jersey Pride. Danowski also spent four seasons playing professional indoor lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League for the Colorado Mammoth, Rochester Knighthawks and Philadelphia Wings. He was a four-time college All-American at Duke University, won the Tewaaraton Trophy in 2007, and was the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer at the time of his graduation with 353 points.

Ben Rubeor is a former professional lacrosse player and coach. He was the head coach for Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League from 2020-2022. Rubeor previously played for the Chesapeake Bayhawks & Long Island Lizards in Major League Lacrosse. He was one of the nation's top collegiate lacrosse players at the University of Virginia. Ben also currently serves as the men's varsity head lacrosse coach and assistant admissions director at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Merrick Thomson is a former professional lacrosse player from Hamilton, Ontario. He played the attack position for the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse and for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League.

John Tucker is a retired American professional lacrosse player, and former head coach of the Boston Cannons and Atlanta Blaze of the now defunct MLL. He was elected into the National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame in 2010 and into the National Lacrosse Hall of Famee in 2016.

The Albany Great Danes men's lacrosse team represents the University at Albany in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. Albany currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games on Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. The team has reached the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship tournament ten times. The Great Danes are currently coached by Scott Marr.

Dave Huntley was a Canadian lacrosse player and head coach and general manager with the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. Huntley played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where he helped his team win two national championships. In 1979, Huntley was honored with the McLaughlin Award, which is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding college lacrosse midfielder. His son, Kevin Huntley, was also an All-American at Johns Hopkins. Huntley was also the first ever head coach for the Toronto Nationals. David Huntley died December 18, 2017, after suffering a heart attack while attending a box lacrosse game in Delray Beach, Florida.

Kevin Huntley is a professional lacrosse player with the Toronto Nationals of Major League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He plays the attack position. Huntley played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where he helped his team win two national championships, and finished his college career as the eighth all-time leading goal scorer in Johns Hopkins history. His father, Dave Huntley, was also an All-American at Johns Hopkins. In 2008, Huntley was named Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year.

Brett Queener is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Community School of Naples varsity lacrosse team.

Steven Brooks is a professional lacrosse player that retired from the New York Atlas of Premier Lacrosse League in 2019. Brooks was the 6th overall draft pick in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Chicago Machine. He played high school lacrosse for Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois. He also attended a postgraduate year at Bridgton Academy, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in September 2023. Brooks played college lacrosse at Syracuse University. In January 2020, Brooks was named assistant coach of the New York Atlas in the professional lacrosse league PLL. He is the first ever PLL player turned coach in the league's history. He is currently serving as offensive coordinator and assistant coach for New York Atlas.

Kevin Crowley is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Vancouver Warriors in the National Lacrosse League Crowley is the first of only three players in the history of lacrosse to be drafted first overall in both the NLL and MLL/PLL drafts, with Lyle Thompson and Jeff Teat following him. Crowley attended New Westminster Secondary School and played his collegiate lacrosse at Stony Brook University and Simon Fraser University
