Jorge Alberto Molina Contreras (born 1956) is a retired Salvadoran military officer who served as Minister of National Defense of El Salvador from 1 January 2009 to 1 June 2009 during the last six months of the presidency of Antonio Saca. [1] [2]

Abortion in Argentina Legal ending of a pregnancy

Abortion in Argentina became legal up to the 14th week of pregnancy since 24 January 2021, after the corresponding bill was passed by the National Congress in December 2020. Once the 14th week has passed, abortion is legal only in cases of rape or if the mother's health is in danger. According to this law, any woman can request the procedure at any public or private health facility. Doctors are legally bound to either perform it or, if they are conscientious objectors, refer the patient to another physician or health facility. Only three other Latin or South American countries had previously legalised abortion on request: Cuba in 1965, Guyana in 1995 and Uruguay in 2012. According to polling in 2020, around 41% of Argentinians support the legalization of abortion on request. Others polls showed 50-60% of Argentinians opposed the bill.

Enrique Hertzog assumed office as the 42nd President of Bolivia on 10 March 1947, and his term ended upon his resignation on 22 October 1949. A physician who served in various ministerial positions since the 1920s, Hertzog was elected as the head of the Republican Socialist Unity Party (PURS) ticket in the 1947 general elections.
