Jose "Jojo" Vidanes is an American sport shooter from California who won the overall 2008 IPSC Handgun World Shoot Modified division title. He also has a senior category gold medal in Open division from the 2017 Rifle World Shoot, and a senior category silver medal from the 2018 Shotgun World Shoot.
Jojo started competing actively around 1990, and already won a number of regional IPSC championships in 1993 and 1994. [1]
Practical shooting, also known as dynamic shooting or action shooting, is a set of shooting sports where the competitors try to unite the three principles of precision, power, and speed, by using a firearm of a certain minimum power factor to score as many points as possible during the shortest amount of time. While scoring systems vary between organizations, each measures the time of which the course is completed, with penalties for inaccurate shooting. The courses are called "stages", and are shot individually by the shooters. Usually the shooter must move and shoot from several positions, fire under or over obstacles and in other unfamiliar positions. There are no standard exercises or set arrangement of the targets, and the courses are often designed so that the shooter must be inventive, and therefore the solutions of exercises sometimes varies between shooters.
The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) is the world's largest shooting sport association, and the largest and oldest within practical shooting. Founded in 1976, the IPSC nowadays affiliates over 100 regions from Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. Competitions are held with pistol, revolver, rifle, and shotgun, and the competitors are divided into different divisions based on firearm and equipment features. While everyone in a division competes in the Overall category, there are also separate awards for the categories Lady, Super Junior, Junior, Senior, and Super Senior.
The United States Practical Shooting Association(USPSA) is the national governing body of practical shooting in the United States under the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). Its over 35,000 active members and over 500 affiliated clubs make USPSA the largest practical shooting organization in the United States and the second largest region within IPSC after the Russian Federation of Practical Shooting. USPSA publishes a monthly member magazine called Front Sight.
Jessie Harrison, formerly known as Jessie Duff, is an American sport shooter from McDonough, Georgia who took silver in the Open division Lady category at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot in Châteauroux, France and bronze at the 2011 IPSC Handgun World Shoot at Rhodes, Greece. In the IPSC US Handgun Championship she took gold in the Open division Lady category in 2015 and silver in 2013. She also has 16 USPSA Handgun Championship Lady category gold medals.
Raine J. Peltokoski is a Finnish sport shooter who has won the IPSC European Rifle Championship three times, and the IPSC European Shotgun Championship once (2006). He is sponsored by Lapua ammunition and Armi Dallera Custom rifles. He also has 7 Finnish Rifle Championship gold medals, one silver medal (2007) and one bronze medal (2005).
Kim Leppänen is a Finnish sport shooter who won the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot Manual division title, and was part of the Finnish Manual National Team together with Jaakko Viitala, Ari Matero and Mikael Ekberg which placed first in the team classification.
The IPSC Action Air World Shoot is the highest level Action Air match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The Action Air World Shoots are currently held triennially on the same cycle as the IPSC Shotgun World Shoots.

The 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot I held at the Patriot Park in Kubinka, Moscow, Russia was the first IPSC Rifle World Shoot. The match consisted of 30 stages over 6 days and 591 competitors from 40 nations.

Lena Miculek is an American practical sport shooter who took gold medal at the 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot in the Open division, Lady category, and three gold medals in the IPSC Shotgun Standard division, Lady category, from the 2012, 2015 and 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot. She is the daughter of IPSC Revolver World Champion Jerry Miculek and Handgun Lady Open Champion Kay Clark Miculek, whose brother was the gunsmith Jim Clark of Clark Custom Guns. Miculek has competed since she was eight years old and started competing actively in 2011.
Ronald E. Avery was an American sport shooter and firearms instructor who took bronze in the Standard division at the 2002 IPSC Handgun World Shoot and bronze in the Standard division Senior category at the 2014 IPSC Handgun World Shoot. He also took the Standard division title in the 2013 IPSC US Handgun Championship and the Limited-10 division title at the 2000 USPSA Handgun Nationals.
The 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot III was the third IPSC Shotgun World Shoot, and was held at the National Shooting Center in Châteauroux, France between 3. and 10. June 2018.
Teemu Rintala is a Finnish sport shooter who is the former IPSC Rifle World Champion in the Open division from the 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot and Shotgun World Champion in the Modified division from the 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot. He also has a bronze medal from the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot. Rintala has been one of the top IPSC Rifle and Shotgun shooters in Europe the last couple of years having placed well in the last Finnish, Nordic and European championships. Rintala shoots for Astro Sweden Rifle Team, and alongside the shooting he works as an arborist.
Tim Yackley is an American sport shooter who won the 2018 NRA World Shooting Championship, becoming the youngest person to ever win the event. He took bronze in the Standard division Junior category at the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in Italy. At the 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot he placed 10th overall in the Open division. In June 2018, Yackley competed at the 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in France, finishing seventh overall in standard and helping Team USA win a team silver medal. Tim was also the Bianchi Cup Junior National Champion for 4 years in a row (2015-2018) and the NRA Action Pistol Junior World Champion in 2018.
The 2019 IPSC Rifle World Shoot II was held in Karlskoga, Sweden between 3 and 10 August. The match consisted of 30 stages over six days, and over 650 competitors Jarkko Laukia from Finland took gold in the Open division, which was the largest division of the match.
Roberto Vezzoli is an Italian sport shooter who won the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot Standard division title. At the IPSC European Handgun Championship he took bronze in the Modified division in 2010, and silver in the Classic division in 2013. He also has a total of five Italian championship titles. He is the Beretta Shooting Team Handgun captain from 2018 and he was involved in the development of Beretta 92X Performance.
Jarkko Laukia is a Finnish sport shooter who won the 2019 IPSC Rifle World Shoot Open division title and 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot Standard division title. Jarkko has 21 Finnish championships title from different IPSC Divisions, 6 time Steel Challenge Finnish Champion and 7 Finnish championships title from SRA-shooting. Jarkko has won over 70 President's Medals from Level 3 to Level 5 IPSC competitions
Joshua Kenny is a British sport shooter who took bronze overall in the Standard division at the 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot. Previously, at the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot he took the Standard division Junior category gold medal.
Roman Khalitov is a Russian competition shooter who took gold at the 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot in the Manual Open division and silver at the 2015 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in the Open division. At the 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot he placed fifth in the Open division with a 94.19 % score. He also has four podium finishes from the IPSC Russian Shotgun Championship, and one silver medal from the IPSC Russian Handgun Championship (2015).
