Chief Joseph Bodurin Daudu, SAN, (born December 27, 1959) is a prominent Nigerian Jurist, Bencher and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association. [1] [2] [3]
Daudu was born on December 27, 1959, at Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi State, north-central Nigeria. [4] He obtained a bachelor's degree in Law from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1979 and was called to the bar in 1980 but attained the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1995 [5]
He began his law career in 1980, the same year he was called to the bar. In August 2010, he was elected as President of the Nigerian Bar Association, a position he held until he was succeeded by Okey Wali in July 2012. [6] He was a member of the Nigerian Body of Benchers for 8 years (2002 - 2010) and became a Life Bencher in 2010, the same year he was elected, president of the NBA. [7] [8] He is an honourable member of the International Council of Jurists, where he served as secretary-general. [9]
Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who is currently serving as the 15th president of the Nigerian Senate since 2023. He was first elected as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District in 2015, lost in the 2019 senatorial elections and won in the 2023 elections. He also served as minister for Niger Delta Affairs from 2019 up till 2022 when he resigned to seek election into the Nigerian senate. He had previously served as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2015.
Prince Bolasodun Adesumbo "Bola" Ajibola, SAN, KBE, CFR was a Nigerian jurist, who was the attorney general and the minister of justice of Nigeria from 1985 to 1991 and a judge of the International Court of Justice from 1991 to 1994. He was president of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1984 to 1985. He was also one of five commissioners on the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission, organized through the Permanent Court of Arbitration. In 1979, he founded The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) as the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria and it was duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee.

The Nigerian Body of Benchers is a professional body concerned with the admission of successful candidates at the Nigerian Law School Bar Final Examination into the Legal Profession. Members of the body are called Benchers. The body also regulate the call of graduate of law school to the Nigerian Bar as well as the regulation of the legal profession in Nigeria.
