Joseph M. Souki (born 1933) is an American Democratic politician and former Speaker of the Hawaii House of Representatives. [3]
He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army from 1954–1956. [4]
Souki replaced former Speaker Calvin Say in 2013,after organizing a coalition with both Democrats and Republicans. [5] [6] [7] This was his second tenure as Speaker,as he had previously served from 1993 to 1999. [8] He represented Hawaii's 8th District since 1982,and served as Chair of the Finance Committee and the Transportation Committee. He was the primary sponsor of 825 bills. [9] Before becoming a politician,Souki was a real estate broker and Executive Director of the Maui Economic Opportunity. [1]
Souki was accused by several women of multiple counts of sexual harassment including unwanted kissing,touching and sexual language by the Hawaii State Ethics Commission. On March 21,2018,Souki agreed to resign his seat,apologize and pay a $5,000 fine. [10] [11] [2]
Paul B. "Skip" Stam Jr. was a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's 37th House district,including constituents in Wake County. An attorney from Apex,North Carolina,Stam was elected to his seventh (non-consecutive) term in the state House of Representatives in 2012. He was first elected in 1988,but was defeated for re-election in 1990. He ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate and for the North Carolina Court of Appeals before being elected to the House again in 2002.

Charles Kong Djou is an American politician who served as U.S. representative for Hawaii's 1st congressional district from 2010 to 2011. Djou won his House seat in a May 2010 special election. He was defeated in the November general election after the Democratic primary provided a single opponent. He ran for but did not win his old House seat again in 2012 and 2014. Djou,who previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives and on the Honolulu City Council,was the first Thai American of any party and the first Chinese American Republican to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. In June 2016,he entered the race for mayor of Honolulu,which he lost,48% to 52%,to incumbent Kirk Caldwell. As of 2023,Djou was the last Republican to have represented Hawaii in Congress. He left the Republican Party in 2018 and in 2020 endorsed Joe Biden for president. After Biden won the presidency,he appointed Djou to be Secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission.

Randolph Blake Farenthold is an American politician and lobbyist. A member of the Republican Party,Farenthold co-hosted a conservative talk-radio program before beginning a career in politics. Farenthold served as the U.S. representative for Texas's 27th congressional district from 2011 until his resignation in April 2018 in the wake of reports he used public funds to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit and had created an intensely hostile work environment for women in his congressional office. Upon resigning,Farenthold pledged to reimburse the US$84,000 in public money that he used to settle the lawsuit. He later reneged on his pledge to repay.

Andrew Cuomo,the 56th governor of New York,was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women starting in December 2020,with the accusations covering a range of alleged behavior. He denied all allegations and has apologized for his comments being interpreted as sexually charged. On February 28,2021,New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that she would hire and deputize a law firm to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations. On March 11,the New York State Assembly authorized an impeachment investigation into the allegations. In August 2021,James released an investigatory report that stated that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women during his time in office,with actions such as unwanted groping,kissing and sexual comments. The controversy surrounding these allegations culminated in Governor Cuomo's resignation from office. Cuomo was replaced by his Lieutenant Governor,Kathy Hochul.
