Joseph Njang Mbah Ndam was a Cameroonian politician. He was a member of the opposition Social Democratic Front and served as its party chairman. He was also a member of the Pan-African Parliament. [1] [2]

Adamou Ndam Njoya was a Cameroonian politician, lawyer, author, and professor. He was Minister of National Education from 1977 to 1980, and the President of the Cameroon Democratic Union, an opposition party, at the time of his death on 7 March 2020. He had just been replaced as Mayor of Foumban by his wife Patricia Tomaïno Ndam Njoya, a position he has held since 1996, and from 1997 to 2007 he was a Deputy in the National Assembly. He unsuccessfully ran as a presidential candidate in the 1992, 2004, 2011 and 2018 elections.

The Anglophone Crisis, also known as the Ambazonian War or the Cameroonian Civil War, is an ongoing conflict between Ambazonian militant groups and the Cameroonian government in the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon, part of the long-standing Anglophone problem. Following the suppression of 2016–17 protests by Cameroonian authorities, Ambazonian separatists in the Anglophone regions launched a guerrilla campaign against the Cameroon Armed Forces, and later unilaterally proclaimed independence. In November 2017, the government of Cameroon declared war on the separatists and sent its army into the Anglophone regions.
