Joseph Oluwaseun Onabolu (born May 17, 1994), is a Canadian recording artist, singer and songwriter from Brampton, Ontario. [1] [2] In March 2016, Joseph released his debut EP, followed by his second EP From The Stars Above in August 2016. [3] [4]

Career

In February 2016, Joseph Onabolu released his first single "All On Me". Production was done by Eestbound, who is signed to Canadian record producer WondaGurl. [5] [6] [7] Joseph followed that with a second single called "Lonely" produced by FrancisGotHeat, who was part of the production team for Drake's More Life playlist. [8] [9] [10] On March 31, 2016, Vice Magazine premiered Joseph's first EP Brad Bonds on their website. [11]

Artistry

Joseph Onabolu has said some of his biggest influences are Elvis, The Beatles, and Ed Sheeran. [12] He has been compared to John Legend. [13]

Makonnen Kamali Sheran, better known by his stage name iLoveMakonnen, is an American rapper and singer. He is best known for his 2014 single "Tuesday", which initially gained recognition following its remix with Canadian rapper Drake. After its release in August of that year, he signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records that same month; the song was re-released by the label shortly after and subsequently peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Tuesday" also received a nomination Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, and served as the lead single for his likewise re-issued self-titled debut extended play (2014), which moderately entered the Billboard 200. He parted ways with OVO in 2016, and his following releases have failed to chart.

Tonee Hayes, better known by his stage name Nef the Pharaoh, is an American rapper from Vallejo, California. In 2014 he was selected by fans as the "Bay Area Freshman of the Year" in a yearly contest held by Thizzler.com. In early 2015, his track "Big Tymin'" became a regional hit, with a music video released shortly after Nef the Pharaoh signed with Sick Wid It Records. "Big Tymin'" was remixed by YG and Ty Dolla $ign in July 2015, and his self-titled debut EP was released on Sick Wid It on November 6, 2015. He later left the label to reinvent his style and changed his name to Amir Obè and found his own collective Neighborhood PHCK$. Obè rose to fame by releasing the mixtape, Detrooklyn in 2014. In 2015, he released the EP, Happening in the Grey Area and then 2016's, Won't Find Love in the Hills. On December 1, 2016, Amir announced that he had signed a deal with Def Jam Recordings, and that an album is set to release sometime in 2017. "What's Next" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake. It was released on March 5, 2021, as a single from Drake's fourth EP Scary Hours 2, through Republic Records and OVO Sound.
