Josephine Forsman (born 20 May 1981 in Robertsfors) is a Swedish drummer. She is one of the four founders of the rock band Sahara Hotnights. [1]

She was also the drummer of the hard rock band Casablanca. [2] She has played behind Swedish artists like Robyn, Orup, Per Gessle.

In 2012 she hosted the music series Låtarna som förändrade musiken where she interviewed and played drums/guitar with performers like Clyde Stubblefield, Tommy Ramone, Michelle Phillips. [3]

In addition to drumming with Sahara Hotnights Josephine Forsman is working with the music organization LOUD Program [4] in Los Angeles.

Josephine Forsman is endorsed by Ludwig Drums, Paiste Cymbals Vic Firth [5] and Remo.

She lives in Topanga, California.

The band scored two top-ten singles and five top-ten albums in their native Sweden during their initial run between 1992 and 2011. The song was written by bandmembers Maria Andersson and Josephine Forsman, and was produced while collaboration with Björn Yttling.

Casablanca is a Swedish rock band with members from several other notable groups: Josephine Forsman from the Sahara Hotnights (drums), Erik Stenemo from Melody Club (guitar), Anders Ljung from Space Age Baby Jane (vocals), Ryan Roxie from Roxy 77 (guitar), Mats Rubarth who previously played football professionally for AIK (bass), and Erik Almström from Bullet (guitar).
