Josh Cuevas (born September 15, 2003) [1] is an American football tight end for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He previously played for the Cal Poly Mustangs and for the Washington Huskies.
Cuevas attended Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles, California. Coming out of high school, he committed to play college football for the Cal Poly Mustangs. [2]
As a freshman in 2021, Cuevas hauled in four passes for 56 yards in three games, using the season to redshirt. [3] During the 2022 season, Cuevas recorded 58 receptions for 678 yards and six touchdowns. [4] After the season, he entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [5]
Cuevas transferred to play for the Washington Huskies. [6] In 2023, he hauled in four passes for 164 yards and a touchdown. [7] After the 2023 season, Cuevas once again entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [7]
Cuevas transferred to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide. [8] During his first season with the Crimson Tide in 2024, he hauled in 16 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. [9] In the 2025 season opener, Cuevas hauled in three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Florida State. [10]
