Josh Lunden (born February 24, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently the Head Coach of the Southern Shore Puglisevich Senior Breakers of the AESHL in Newfoundland and Labrador. On March 20, 2010, the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League signed Lunden to an entry level contract. [1]

Lunden played two seasons under contract to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League before signing his first contract abroad with Russian second division club, Rubin Tyumen of the Higher Hockey League on September 16, 2014. [2] Mid-season Lunden transferred from Tyumen to German club, ESV Kaufbeuren in the DEL2.

On July 1, 2015, Lunden signed a one-year contract with French outfit Ducs d'Angers of the Ligue Magnus. [3]

Lunden returned to Newfoundland and Labrador and is currently the Head Coach of the Southern Shore Puglisevich Senior Breakers.

Donald Stewart Johnson was a Canadian sports executive. He was elected president of the Newfoundland Amateur Hockey Association (NAHA) in 1966, sought to expand minor ice hockey in Newfoundland and negotiated for the NAHA to become a member of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). He was elected president of the CAHA in 1975, resolved internal disagreement over the jurisdiction of junior ice hockey, avoided the withdrawal of the Western Canada Hockey League and sought a new professional-amateur agreement with the National Hockey League and World Hockey Association. He was part of negotiations to end the Canada men's national ice hockey team hiatus from the Ice Hockey World Championships and the Olympic Games, in exchange for International Ice Hockey Federation approval of the 1976 Canada Cup. He established a long-term sponsorship to improve the National Coaching Certification Program, twice visited China with a Canadian amateur team for instructional tours and arranged an exchange for Chinese players and coaches to attend training camps in Canada. Darren Michael Langdon is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former professional player. Undrafted, he signed his first professional contract in 1993 with the New York Rangers. After retiring from the NHL, Langdon coached a former team, the Corner Brook Royals of the Newfoundland Senior Hockey League, until the team folded in the summer of 2016. While playing in the NHL, Langdon was best known for his hockey fighting ability as an enforcer.

The Herder Memorial Trophy, or Herder, is the championship trophy to be awarded annually to the senior ice hockey champions of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The original cast silver trophy was donated in 1935 by The Evening Telegram newspaper on behalf of the Herder family, as a memorial to five brothers who played hockey in St. John's.
