Jothan Napat (born 7 August 1972) is a Vanuatuan politician and a member of the Parliament of Vanuatu from Tanna Constituency as a member of the Leaders Party of Vanuatu. [1]
Vanuatu,officially the Republic of Vanuatu,is an island country in Melanesia,located in the South Pacific Ocean. The Vanuatu Mobile Force (VMF) is a small,mobile corps of 300 volunteers that makes up Vanuatu's military. Its primary task is to assist the Vanuatu Police Force. However,should Vanuatu be attacked,then the VMF will act as the first line of defence. In 1994,VMF deployed 50 people to Papua New Guinea,as their first peacekeeping mission.

Apam Napat is a deity in the Indo-Iranian pantheon associated with water. His names in the Vedas,Apām Napāt,and in Zoroastrianism,Apąm Napāt,mean "child of the waters" in Sanskrit and Avestan respectively. Napāt is cognate with Latin nepos and English nephew. In the Rig Veda,he is described as the creator of all things. It is considered to originate from the Proto-Indo-European Hepom Nepōts.
Edward Nipake Natapei Tuta Fanua`araki was a Vanuatuan politician. He was the prime minister of Vanuatu on two occasions,and was previously the minister of Foreign Affairs briefly in 1991,the acting president of Vanuatu from 2 March 1999 to 24 March 1999 and the deputy prime minister. Moise Poida is a Vanuatuan football manager and former player. He manages the Vanuatu men's national team and has been a former manager of club side Tafea. Poida has also managed the Vanuatu men's under-20 national team and Vanuatu men's under-23 national team. As a player,Poida made 21 appearances for the national team and scored three goals as a winger and midfielder. At club level,he played for Tafea F.C. for his entire career. In 2008 Poida played for an Oceanian representative side against a team that included members of France's 1998 FIFA World Cup winning team. The game included players such as Zinedine Zidane,Christian Karembeu and Robert Pires.

The president of Vanuatu,Baldwin Lonsdale,dissolved the Parliament of Vanuatu in November 2015. This occurred after the conviction of 14 parliamentarians for bribery. The convicted MPs include former Prime Ministers Serge Vohor and Moana Carcasses Kalosil. The president called for a snap election to form a new government.

On 14 September 2022,Vurobaravu was gilded with the “A’okokikima Maralama Phushueia”,a medal signifying his heroism in the 2021 Revolts that took place following civil unrest in the country
Snap general elections were held in Vanuatu on 13 October 2022 to elect all 52 seats in Parliament. President Nikenike Vurobaravu dissolved Parliament in August 2022 on advice of the Council of Ministers ahead of a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Bob Loughman.
