O'Fredericks also directed the first Danish films which highlighted women's rights. The Alice Award, presented annually to the Best Female Director at the Copenhagen International Film Festival, is named in her honor.
O' Horten is a 2007 Norwegian language film directed by Bent Hamer. The film's title character Odd Horten is a habit-bound train driver, who is about to retire. On the day of his retirement he ends up in an unexpected situation, and is forced to reconsider his life. As in other films by Hamer, the themes are loneliness and old age, and the courage to take chances. O' Horten has been described as a film without a strong plot or a clear chronology.
Bussen is a 1961 Norwegian comedy film, directed by Arne Skouen and starring Leif Juster, and a strikingly similar 1963 Danish comedy film directed by Finn Henriksen and starring Dirch Passer. The plot and script is essentially the same in both films. The Danish version is made suitable for a Danish audience. The music to the Norwegian version was written by Maj Sønstevold and Gunnar Sønstevold, with additional songs written by Alf Prøysen. The original main character was written for Leif Juster. At this point in his career, Juster was a popular movie actor. It is possible that Arne Skouen was inspired by a narrative poem written by the poet Ingeborg Refling Hagen, about a milkman who is constantly running errands because of his good heart.
Toralv Øksnevad was a Norwegian politician, journalist, newspaper editor and radio personality. He was known as the "voice from London" during World War II, when listening to foreign radio in Norway was illegal, and from October 1942 implied risk of death penalty.
Synne Skouen is a Norwegian music writer and composer.
Gunnar Sønstevold was a Norwegian composer. He was born in Elverum, and married composer Maj Sønstevold in 1941. He composed orchestral works, vocal music, chamber music, and music to a number of plays, ballets and films. He headed the Music Department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation/Television from 1966 to 1974. He was awarded Filmkritikerprisen in 1955, for the film Det brenner i natt!. He received the Arts Council Norway music prize in 1972, and Radioteatret's honorary prize in 1987.

Reisen til julestjernen is a Norwegian fairy-tale adventure film from 1976 starring Hanne Krogh, Knut Risan, and Bente Børsum. The film was the solo feature-film directing début by Ola Solum. It is regularly broadcast by NRK every Christmas Eve.
Om Tilla is a Norwegian drama film from 1963 directed by Arne Skouen. Skouen wrote the screenplay, which was based on his 1959 novel Bare om barn. It contained a series of articles from the newspaper Verdens Gang, in which Skouen pointed out that children with intellectual disabilities and children with behavioral difficulties did not receive sufficient financial support or professional help.
Brannen is a Norwegian film from 1973. The film is based on Tarjei Vesaas's novel Brannen. Haakon Sandøy directed the film and Jan Grønli played the lead role. Unn Vibeke Hol played the girl in the film. Nils Vogt made his film debut in Brannen.
To mistenkelige personer is a Norwegian crime drama from 1950 directed by Tancred Ibsen. The film is about the murder of two sheriffs in Norway and the subsequent hunt for the criminals. The script is based on Gunnar Larsen's 1933 novel To mistenkelige personer. The novel is loosely based on a real incident that happened in Ådal in 1926. The film was banned from being shown in Norway for reasons of privacy. The verdict was upheld until the end of the 1990s.
Savnet siden mandag is a Norwegian feature film from 1955 directed by Sigval Maartmann-Moe and Tancred Ibsen. The screenplay was written by Maartmann-Moe, Ibsen, and Axel Kielland. Peter Lindgren and Ivar Svendsen star as the Swede and the missing 17-year-old.

Vi vil skilles is a Norwegian comedy film from 1952 directed by Nils R. Müller. This was one of several "marriage comedies" in the 1950s and was a kind of sequel to Vi gifter oss, also directed by Müller. Arne Fjelberg, the priest at Uranienborg Church, played a priest in this film. The film starred Randi Kolstad and Espen Skjønberg.
