George Frederick Reinhardt (1911–1971) was an American foreign service officer and diplomat from 1937 until 1968. He was considered by his peers to be among the finest diplomats of his era. Reinhardt was the U.S. ambassador to South Vietnam (1955–1957), to the United Arab Republic and North Yemen (1960–1961) and to Italy (1961–1968). In Vietnam, he worked to improve relations between the United States and South Vietnamese Prime Minister Ngo Dinh Diem.

Delta Phi EpsilonForeign Service Fraternity (ΔΦΕ) is the largest national American professional foreign service fraternity. Founded on January 25, 1920, the fraternity's mission is to promote brotherhood among persons studying or engaged in Foreign Service. Its Alpha chapter went on in the first half of the twentieth century to colonize new chapters at many other universities throughout the country, although most chapters went defunct in the latter half of the century. The fraternity is proud of notable members in a variety of fields. As of 2021, there remained 10 active collegiate chapters, half of which were created in 2016-2018.
In a referendum on 21 May 2006, the people of Montenegro opted to leave the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. This result was confirmed with a declaration of independence by the Montenegrin parliament on 3 June 2006. It simultaneously requested international recognition and outlined foreign policy goals.
Nancy Eileen McEldowney is an American academic and diplomat who served as the national security advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris from January 20, 2021 to March 21, 2022. She was previously a career Foreign Service officer, served as United States ambassador to Bulgaria (2008–2009), and was director of the Foreign Service Institute from February 2013 until June 2017.

Jo Ellen Powell is a career member of the United States Foreign Service who served as Consul General in Frankfurt, Germany and was nominated as the US ambassador to Mauritania by Barack Obama on July 15, 2010. She has been known in Frankfurt for her active engagement with Germany's Muslim community, as well as with students, through the "Windows on America" program. Prior to that Powell was the executive director of the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, director of the Office of Employee Relations, and management counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Canberra, Australia. Powell has also served in France, Italy, Lebanon, and Jordan. She is married to Stephen Engelken, also a career diplomat and current deputy chief of mission to Islamabad in Pakistan, with whom she has a son.
R. Barrie Walkley is a career foreign service officer and the former Special Advisor to Secretary of State Clinton for the Great Lakes and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He was appointed to this position in December 2011 and served until June 18, 2013, when he was replaced by former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold.

She was nominated by President Obama May 2014 and confirmed by the Senate on November 18, 2014. She served as Ambassador to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau from 2008 to 2011. From January 1, 2019, to April 3, 2020, she was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs at the Department of State.
