Juan Carlos Montiel (born November 12, 1965, in Montevideo) is a retired male boxer from Uruguay. He competed for his native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, and won a bronze medal at the 1987 Pan American Games during his career as an amateur. Nicknamed "Tito" he made his professional debut on October 15, 1993, defeating Luiz Augusto Ferreira.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints is a 2006 American drama film based on a 2001 memoir of the same name by author, director, and musician Dito Montiel, which describes his youth in Astoria, New York during the 1980s. Montiel wrote and directed the film adaptation, which was released in the United States in September 2006 and in Europe in March 2007. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Montiel with Shia LaBeouf as a younger Montiel.

Abraham "Ditto" Pascual Sarmiento Jr. was a Filipino student journalist who gained prominence as an early and visible critic of the martial law regime of dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
