Judith Briles is an author, publisher, podcaster, book publishing consultant and professional speaker focused in the fields of book publishing, conflict resolution, and personal finance. [1]
She is best known for being The Book Shepherd and the founder of AuthorYOU, [2] the co-founder of Mile High Press, [3] and was CW2 Denver's financial expert in the mid-2000s. Briles has been referred to as " The Book Shepherd" and is an advocate for author's rights, [4] works with clients globally and leads the Book Publishing and Speaking Unplugged bootcamps. In 2019, She launched the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame.
Briles has earned both masters and doctorate of Business Administration degrees. In 2004, she was named the Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. [5]
Briles is a Book Publishing Expert and Inspirational Book Coach. She is the co-founder of Mile High Press, Ltd., a small press and The Briles Group, Inc., a former Colorado-based research, training and consulting firm. [6] She is the President of The Book Shepherd, a consulting and implementation firm that works with authors and small publishers that was created in 2000 educating and assisting authors globally in the creation and successful publication of their books. In 2009, she founded AuthorU, a nonprofit 501(c)6 membership organization for authors. She founded the 501(c)3 Colorado Authors Hall of Fame with its first induction to twenty-one authors in September 2019.

Hendrika Bestebreurtje Cantwell is a German-born American retired physician, professor emerita of pediatrics at the University of Colorado Denver, advocate for abused and neglected children, and parenting educator. She was one of the first physicians in the United States to work for a child protection agency, serving with the Denver Department of Social Services from 1975 to 1989. Her work there brought her in contact with an estimated 30,000 cases of suspected child abuse and she testified as an expert witness in thousands of court cases. An author of peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and teaching manuals on the detection and treatment of child abuse, she has also conducted workshops and training programs for professionals throughout Colorado. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 1990.
Mary Ann Kerwin is an American lawyer and breastfeeding activist. One of the seven founders of La Leche League in 1956, she established the Colorado branch of the advocacy group and drafted state laws on behalf of women who breastfeed their infants in public and in the workplace. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 2012.
Jill S. Tietjen is an American electrical engineer, consultant, women's advocate, author, and speaker. She is the president and CEO of Technically Speaking, Inc., an electric utilities consulting firm which she founded in Greenwood Village, Colorado, in 2000. A strong advocate for the participation of women and girls in the STEM fields, she establishes scholarships for women in engineering and technology, and nominates women for awards and halls of fame. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame in 2019, and elected to the National Academy of Construction in 2022.
Patricia Anne Acquaviva Gabow is an American academic physician, medical researcher, healthcare executive, author and lecturer. Specializing in nephrology, she joined the department of medicine, division of renal diseases, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1973, advancing to a full professorship in 1987; she is presently Professor Emerita. She was the principal investigator on the National Institutes of Health Human Polycystic Kidney Disease research grant, which ran from 1985 to 1999, and defined the clinical manifestations and genetics of the disease in adults and children. She served for two decades as CEO of Denver Health, an integrated public healthcare system in Denver, Colorado, where she implemented numerous business-based systems to streamline operations, improve patient care, and recognize cost savings. In particular, her introduction of the "Lean" quality-improvement system, based on the Toyota Production System, earned her national recognition. She is the author of more than 150 articles and book chapters, three books, and has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, physician care, and leadership. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 2004.
