Starting in 2016 it was a 1.HC event. The Nokere Koerse was created in 1944, initially as the Grand Prix Jules Lowie in honour of 1938 Paris–Nice winner Jules Lowie who was born in Nokere. Veranclassic–Ago is a UCI Continental team founded in 2013 and based in Belgium. It participates in UCI Continental Circuits races.

The 1924 Paris–Roubaix was the 25th edition of the Paris–Roubaix, a classic one-day cycle race in France. The single day event was held on 6 April 1924 and stretched 270 km (168 mi) from Paris to its end in a velodrome in Roubaix. The winner was Jules Van Hevel from Belgium.

1914 Tour of Flanders Cycling race

The second running of the Tour of Flanders cycling race in Belgium was held on Sunday, 22 March 1914. Belgian Marcel Buysse won the race in a sprint of a seven-strong group on the velodrome of Evergem, part of Ghent. 19 of 47 riders finished. The race started and finished in Ghent.

The 1921 Tour of Flanders was the fifth edition of the Tour of Flanders, a Belgian one-day classic road cycling race, held on 13 March 1921. Ninety cyclists started and thirty-two finished the race, which was won by René Vermandel. In second place was Jules Van Hevel, riding for Bianchi–Dunlop, and Louis Budts was third.
