Julia with Blue Jeans On is the third album by musician Spencer Krug under the alias Moonface. It is the follow-up to 2012's With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery and features only Krug on vocals and piano. [1] The album was released on 29 October 2013 by Jagjaguwar in the United States and by Paper Bag Records in Canada. [2]

The album was a longlisted nominee for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. [3]

Swan Lake was a Canadian indie supergroup comprising Carey Mercer of Frog Eyes and Blackout Beach, Dan Bejar of Destroyer, Hello, Blue Roses and The New Pornographers, and Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown and Frog Eyes.

The Polaris Music Prize is a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label. The award was established in 2006 with a $20,000 cash prize; the prize was increased to $30,000 for the 2011 award. In May 2015, the Polaris Music Prize was increased to $50,000, an additional $20,000, sponsored by Slaight Music. Additionally, second place prizes for the nine other acts on the Short List increased from $2,000 to $3,000. Polaris officials also announced The Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize, an award that "will annually honour five albums from the five decades before Polaris launched in 2006." With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery is the second full-length album released by musician Spencer Krug under the Moonface name. It is the follow-up to the 2011 album Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped and was released on April 17, 2012. The album is a result of the collaboration of Krug with the Finnish rock band Siinai. Krug met the band Joensuu 1685 while on tour with another of his bands, Wolf Parade, in 2009. Joensuu 1685 later became Siinai, and when they indicated to Krug that they were in need of a vocalist the project that would later become Heartbreaking Bravery was born.

<i>Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums</i> 2010 EP by Moonface

Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums is the first EP released by Spencer Krug as Moonface. It was released on January 26, 2010. It is available on 12" vinyl and FLAC/MP3 digitally at the official Moonface website.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2014 Polaris Music Prize</span>

The 2014 edition of the Canadian Polaris Music Prize was presented on September 22, 2014, at The Carlu event theatre in Toronto, Ontario. Actor Jay Baruchel was the host of the ceremony.

DIANA is a Canadian synthpop band, consisting of Carmen Elle (vocals), Joseph Shabason (keyboards) and Kieran Adams (drums). Their debut album Perpetual Surrender was a longlisted nominee for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. It was followed by their second album Familiar Touch in November 2016.
