Julie Birungi alias (Julie Naluggya, Julie Mutesasira) [1] [2] [3] was born on 27 February 1978) [4] is a Ugandan-Canadian gospel singer and musician known in Uganda and across East Africa for her songs like Nkulembera, Lwana Nabo, Ekikunyumira and Bamuyita Yesu, a collaboration with Iryn Namubiru. She received the best female gospel song award for her song Saba in 2014 and the Best Religious Song award for her song List Ya Mukama in 2015 and was nominated for Best Religious Song for her song Kijja Kugwa in 2016 at the third, fourth and fifth HiPipo Music Awards respectively. [7] She won the Song of the year award at the Olive Gospel Music Awards in 2012, [8] the Female artist of the year award at VIGA Awards in 2016, [9] [10] Diva Collabo Award for Yani, a collaboration with Iryn Namubiru at the 2011 DIVA Awards. Personal life and career

Julie's parents are the late Henry Ssebatta and Rose Lutwama. [1] Julie Mutesasira was married to Pastor Steven Mutesasira of the Redeemed of the Lord Evangelistic Church, Kamwookya and they are now divorced. [1] [2] The couple had three children, Esther Mutesasira, Ezekiel Mutesasira and Elizabeth Mutesasira, two of whom, Esther and Ezekiel, were the winners of East Africa's Got Talent in 2019. [1] [2] [3] [12] [13] The couple divorced in 2016 and she relocated to Canada. In 2020, she publicly revealed that she is a lesbian and the same year was married to her wife Jean. [4] [14]

Julie recorded her first single titled Nakwagala in 2004. [3]

Juliana Kanyomozi is a musician actress and entertainer. She is a multiple award-winner Ugandan pop musician, an R&B and Afro Beat Singer well known among Western Uganda's decent musicians. Juliana was born on 27 November 1980, at Toro Fort Portal in Western Uganda of the Mutooro tribe. She is one of Western Uganda's descent among other musicians including Angella Katatumba, Allan Toniks and Ray G.

He rose to prominence in Ugandas' music industry after writing successful songs to all Uganda’s big musicians in Uganda like Bebe Cool, Juliana Kanyomozi, Iryn Namubiru,Bobi Wine, and others. As a singer Nince Henry has made so many top hit singles like Cinderella, Mali yangu, mpola mpola and others. He balances making music for other artistes and for himself as an artiste. In 2012, Nince had some song writing projects with juliana, following the writing of the song "Sikyakaaba" which juliana was supposed to release-however there were some unknown disagreements between the two parties and the two musicians produced the same song with the same title and lyrics, this caused confusion over who owned the song, which aroused mistrust between the two musicians. In 2013 Nince staged his first concert "MPOLA MPOLA CONCERT"

Jackie Akello is a Uganda singer-songwriter and entrepreneur with a coffee brand Village Belle which she launched in 2017. She sings in Acholi, Luganda, Swahili, and English. She is known for her hit love ballad "Amari", the gospel hit "Samanya" with Levixone, and the war-themed pop hit "Apwoyo". Akello is an Acholi from northern Uganda, and most of her songs, like "Apwoyo" talk about the suffering of the Acholi both during and after the Lord's Resistance Army war that left Acholis out of their homes for a long time.
