Juraj Faith (born 14 March 1976) is a Slovak former professional ice hockey forward.
Faith played in the Slovak Extraliga for HC Košice, HK Spišská Nová Ves, HK Poprad, HKm Zvolen, MHC Martin, MsHK Žilina and MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš. He also played in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for Wölfe Freiburg, the Ligue Magnus for Scorpions de Mulhouse and the English Premier Ice Hockey League for the Manchester Phoenix.
His father Jan Faith played professional ice hockey for HC Košice and the Czechoslovakia national team.

The Slovak Extraliga, known as the Tipos Extraliga since the 2020–21 season for sponsorship reasons, is the highest-level ice hockey league in Slovakia. From 2018–19 to 2020–21, the league included one or two teams from Hungary.
Igor Liba is a Slovak former professional ice hockey player. He played 37 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings during the 1988–89 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1979 to 2003, was mainly spent in the Czechoslovak Extraliga and in other European leagues. Internationally Liba played for the Czechslovakian national team in several tournaments, including the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the latter. In 2005 Liba was inducted into the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame.
Peter Veselovský is a Slovak former professional ice hockey player.
Hockey Club Košice is a Slovak professional ice hockey club based in Košice that competes in the Slovak Extraliga, the top tier of Slovak ice hockey. It is the most successful hockey club in Slovakia and the former Czechoslovakia, having won the Tipos Extraliga nine times, the Czechoslovakian Hockey League twice, the 1st. Slovak National Hockey League once, the IIHF Continental Cup once, the Tatra Cup ten times, and the Rona Cup four times. The club is nicknamed "Oceliari", which means "Steelers" in English.

Stanislav Gron is a Slovak professional ice hockey left winger. He is currently playing a free agent having last played for HC Bratislava in the Slovak 1. Liga. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 38th overall, of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He played one game in the National Hockey League with the Devils during the 2000–01 season against the Carolina Hurricanes on February 23, 2001, being held without a point. In the game, he played 9:55 of ice time and was +1, taking 2 shots on goal.
HK Poprad is a professional ice hockey team in the Slovak Extraliga, the top ice hockey league in Slovakia. It plays its games in Poprad, Slovakia. The squad's greatest success was 2nd place in the Slovak Extraliga in 2006, 2011 and 2021. The club is nicknamed Kamzíci, which means "Chamois" in Slovak.
The Slovak Extraliga 2004–05 was the twelfth regular season of the Slovak Extraliga, the top level of professional ice hockey in Slovakia. During the 2004–05 NHL lockout several Slovak players returned to their homeland, including Pavol Demitra, Marián Hossa, Marián Gáborík, Miroslav Šatan and Ľubomír Višňovský, Michal Handzuš, Richard Zedník and Vladimír Országh, Ladislav Nagy and Martin Štrbák, and Žigmund Pálffy.

Juraj Bakoš is a former Slovak professional ice hockey player who played in the Czechoslovak First Ice Hockey League and currently GM of HC Slovan Bratislava. Bakoš was drafted in the twelfth round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, but he never played professionally in North America. He spent his entire playing career in Czechoslovakia, playing nine seasons with HC Košice and two seasons with HK Dukla Trenčín. Bakoš served as HC Košice's general manager from 2004 to 2017.
