Jurgen Ceder (born 1963) is a Belgian politician and a member of the N-VA. He was first elected as a member of the Belgian Senate in 1995 for the Vlaams Blok party. In 2009, he became group leader in the senate for Vlaams Belang. [1] In July 2012 he became a member of N-VA. Because he was associated with the 70-point plan drawn up with the Vlaams Blok party, it caused dissatisfaction among other prominent members of N-VA with some members calling on the party not to adopt him as a candidate.
Vlaams Blok was the name of a Belgian far-right and secessionist political party with an anti-immigration platform. Its ideologies embraced Flemish nationalism, calling for the independence of Flanders.
The New Flemish Alliance is a Flemish nationalist, conservative and Eurosceptic political party in Belgium. The party was established in 2001 by the right-leaning faction of the centrist-nationalist People's Union (VU).

Vlaams Belang is a Flemish nationalist, Eurosceptic and right-wing populist political party in the Flemish Region and Brussels Capital Region of Belgium. It is widely considered by the media and political analysts to be on the political far-right, although it self-describes as right-nationalist and has tried to distance itself from the far-right label in recent years.
Flemish political parties operate in the whole Flemish Community, which covers the unilingual Flemish Region and the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region. He has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014, and a city councilor in Antwerp since 2000. He served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives from 1987 to 2014, and as a city councilor in Brasschaat from 1994 to 2000.
