Just Kids! (Hindi) is an Indian television programming block which aired on Sahara TV. [1] The show was hosted by Yash Pathak and included various cartoon series like The Great Book Of Nature, Zorro, The Story Of Cinderella, Christopher Columbus, Sandokan, Denver - The Last Dinosaur, Jungle Book etc. [2]
Most of these animated series were Italian-Japanese and translated into Hindi after Sahara TV has acquired from the internationally popular Mondo TV, telecast rights for 260 hours of animated children's programming. The titles include the famous Simba - The Lion, Cinderella, Zorro, Christopher Columbus, Sandokan and The Great Book Of Nature. Mondo TV has 25,000 hours of television software and is in international competition with Walt Disney. [2]
Two of these shows were shown every day and Bhalu Sahab ki Kahani (The Great Book of nature) was shown at the end. This was one of the most watched kids show of that time. [3]
Simba is a fictional character in Disney's The Lion King franchise. First appearing as a lion cub in The Lion King (1994), the character flees his homeland when his father, King Mufasa, is killed by his treacherous uncle, Scar. Several years later, Simba returns home as an adult to reconcile his childhood trauma, confront Scar, and reclaim his place as King of the Pride Lands. He subsequently appears in the sequels The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998) and The Lion King 1½ (2004). Simba was originally voiced by actors Matthew Broderick and Jonathan Taylor Thomas as an adult and cub, respectively; various actors have voiced the character in related media.
Disney Sing-Along Songs is a series of videos on VHS, betamax, laserdisc, and DVD with musical moments from various Disney films, TV shows, and attractions. Lyrics for the songs are sometimes displayed on-screen with the Mickey Mouse icon as a "bouncing ball". Early releases open with a theme song introduction containing footage featuring Professor Owl and his class, seen originally in 1953 in two Disney shorts, Melody and Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom. Professor Owl hosts some of the videos, while either Jiminy Cricket or Ludwig Von Drake host others. Later volumes, as well as the two Christmas videos, do not feature a host at all. Scenes with Jiminy Cricket and Ludwig Von Drake were taken from television programs, including the Walt Disney anthology television series and The Mickey Mouse Club, which featured the characters in the 1950s and 1960s.

Timon and Pumbaa are an animated meerkat and warthog duo introduced in Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King and its franchise. Timon was played through his many appearances by Nathan Lane, Max Casella, Kevin Schon, Quinton Flynn, Bruce Lanoil in the Wild About Safety shorts and Kingdom Hearts II, while Pumbaa is voiced by Ernie Sabella, and was portrayed by Tom Alan Robbins in the original cast of the Broadway musical. In the CGI remake, the characters are portrayed by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen, respectively. Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella first came to audition for the roles of the hyenas, but when the producers saw how well they worked together, they decided to cast them as Timon and Pumbaa.
Sandokan is a fictional late 19th-century pirate created by Italian author Emilio Salgari. His adventures first appeared in publication in 1883. Sandokan is the protagonist of 11 adventure novels. Within the series, Sandokan is known throughout the South China Sea as the "Tiger of Malaya".

The Great Book of Nature is an animated children's television series produced by Mondo TV and SEK Studio in 1999. It is composed of non-sequential episodes hosted by a bear, this series features various kind of creatures, such as fish, insects and birds, while depicting their different habitats - whether sea, land or sky. At the end of each episode, the audience is treated to instructive sets of questions and answers that teach young viewers about a given creature's various kind of behaviours. There are 54 different episode of it of different stories. Before being compiled into a television series, the animated shorts were likely used as theatrical propaganda cartoons in North Korea.
