Hastings competed for the San Diego State Aztecs men's golf team. [2]

Amateur career

Hastings won the 2020 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships (Hoerman Cup). [3]

He participated in the 2023 Pan American Games, finishing tied for 11th place in the men's competition.

He made his major championship debut at the 2025 Masters Tournament. [4] At his next major, the 2025 U.S. Open, he made the cut and was the low amateur by virtue of being the only amateur to make the cut. [5]
