The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool.
Sarah Fredrika Sjöström is a Swedish competitive swimmer specialized in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events. She is the current world record holder in the 50-meter freestyle, the 100-meter freestyle, the 200-meter freestyle, the 50-meter butterfly, and the 100-meter butterfly. She is the first Swedish woman to win an Olympic gold medal in swimming. She won the Overall Swimming World Cup in 2017 and 2018 and she has won 10 individual World Championship gold medals. The 2019 World Aquatics Championships were the 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 to 28 July 2019. The city had previously hosted the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.
The 2022 World Aquatics Championships — 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2022. It will be the second time Fukuoka hosts this meet, 21 years after the 2001 World Aquatics Championships. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but when the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic the dates clashed, so the Championships dates were changed. The new dates are May 13-29, 2022.

Oussama Sahnoune is an Algerian swimmer who competes in the freestyle events. He competed in the men's 50 metre and men's 100 metre freestyle events at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Jan Šefl is a Czech swimmer. He competed in the men's 50 metre butterfly event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
Bobbi Gichard is a New Zealand swimmer. She competed in the women's 200 metre backstroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. She also competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the 100 metre backstroke and 200 metre backstroke and was the lead-off swimmer for the New Zealand team which finish sixth in the final of 4 × 100 metre medley relay.
Osisang Dibech Chilton is a Palauan swimmer. She competed in the women's 200 metre backstroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. In 2019, she represented Palau at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea. She competed in the women's 100 metre freestyle and women's 100 metre backstroke events. In both events she did not advance to compete in the semi-finals.
Iris Schmidbauer is a German high diver. She represented Germany at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary and at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. In 2019, she finished in 8th place and in 2017, she finished in 10th place.

Marlene Bojer is a German synchronized swimmer. She represented Germany at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia, at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary and at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
Alena Khamulkina is a Belarusian diver. In 2019, she finished in 29th place in the preliminary round in the women's 1 metre springboard event at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea. In the women's 3 metre springboard event she finished in 27th place in the preliminary round.
