K-Supermarketis a supermarket chain in Finland, owned by Kesko. There are over 250 stores in Finland [1] . The K-Supermarket chain was founded year 1994 and the first store was opened in Nastola the same year. The stores are located in big and small cities.
A convenience store, bodega, convenience shop, corner store or corner shop is a small retail store that stocks a range of everyday items such as tea, coffee, groceries, fruits, vegetables, snacks, confectionery, soft drinks, ice creams, tobacco products, lottery tickets, over-the-counter drugs, toiletries, newspapers and magazines. In some jurisdictions, convenience stores are licensed to sell alcoholic drinks, although many jurisdictions limit such beverages to those with relatively low alcohol content, like beer and wine. The stores may also offer money order and wire transfer services, along with the use of a fax machine or photocopier for a small per-copy cost. Some also sell tickets or recharge smart cards, e.g. OPUS cards in Montreal or include a small deli. They differ from general stores and village shops in that they are not in a rural location and are used as a convenient supplement to larger stores.

The chain was founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946, when they took over their mother's store in Essen. The business was split into two separate groups in 1960, that later became Aldi Nord, headquartered in Essen, and Aldi Süd, headquartered in Mülheim.
Alko Inc is the national alcoholic beverage retailing monopoly in Finland. It is the only store in the country which retails beer over 5.5% ABV, wine and spirits. Alcoholic beverages are also sold in licensed restaurants and bars but only for consumption on the premises.
A discount store or discounter offers a retail format in which products are sold at prices that are in principle lower than an actual or supposed "full retail price". Discounters rely on bulk purchasing and efficient distribution to keep down costs.
The S Group is a Finnish retailing cooperative organisation with its head office in Helsinki. Founded in 1904, it consists of 20 regional cooperatives operating all around Finland in addition to SOK, Suomen Osuuskauppojen Keskuskunta. S Group operates in the markets for groceries, consumer durables, service station, hotel and restaurant services. It is engaged in close competition with Kesko, with which it shares an oligopolistic position in many of the markets it operates in.
Wakefern Food Corporation is an American company that was founded in 1946 and is based in Keasbey, New Jersey. It is the largest retailers' cooperative group of supermarkets and the fourth-largest cooperative of any kind in the United States. Wakefern was the largest private employer in New Jersey in 2018, with 40,200 employees. As of 2023, Wakefern has 48 member companies who own and operate 365 supermarkets, under the ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage, and Fairway Market brands in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
Kesko Corporation is a Finnish retailing conglomerate with its head office in Kalasatama, Helsinki. It is engaged in the grocery trade, building and technical trade, and car trade. It also has operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
The Food Emporium is a chain of grocery stores in New York and New Jersey. The supermarket banner was created by Shopwell Inc., whose roots can be traced to Daitch Crystal Dairies. Shopwell Inc. was acquired by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) in 1986 and at the time, the company operated the upscale, gourmet banner stores in and around New York City; Westchester County, NY; and Fairfield County, CT. The Food Emporium grew throughout the 1990s, converting many of its New York-area A&P stores to The Food Emporium and expanding the chain to New Jersey. The 2000s brought new, stronger competition to the New York area, and the chain shrank, receding mostly to Manhattan. At the time of A&P's liquidation in 2015, The Food Emporium had 11 stores. The banner was acquired from bankrupt A&P in late 2015 by Key Food Stores Co-op, Inc., which currently operates thirteen of The Food Emporium stores.
Alepa is a grocery shop chain in the Greater Helsinki region of Finland. It is currently owned by HOK-Elanto, a part of the nationwide cooperative S Group. Alepa was founded in 1918, when Edvard Pajunen and his wife founded a shop in Sörnäinen, Helsinki.
Woolworths Supermarkets is an Australian chain of supermarkets and grocery stores owned by Woolworths Group. Founded in 1924, Woolworths today is Australia's biggest supermarket chain with a market share of 33% as of 2019.
Hansa (Finnish: Hansakortteli, Swedish: Hansakvarteret) is a shopping centre in the city centre of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the city's VII District, next to the main Market Square. The shopping centre hosts a total of 156 businesses, including nineteen cafés and restaurants. It also contains a theatre. The Turku branch of the Stockmann department store is located in Hansa.
Red Food Stores, Inc. was a supermarket chain company headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It operated stores mostly in northwest Georgia, northeast Alabama, and southeast Tennessee. Around 55 stores were operated in the same three states. According to The Chattanoogan, Red Food was a longtime icon in Chattanooga history.
K-Citymarket is a Finnish hypermarket chain owned by Kesko. The chain has about 80 stores in Finland. The first K-Citymarket store was opened in Lahti year 1971. The size of the stores are between 7,000 m² to 10,000 m². In all K-Citymarkets, a K-retailer is responsible for the sale of grocerys, and Kesko for the consumer goods side. K-Citymarket's selections include foodstuffs as well as clothing, leisure, sports and home products.

Sale is a grocery shop chain in Finland, owned by the S Group. The chain was founded in 1989, when the S Group had begun to consolidate its stores under national chains. Initially, the chain was called S-ale. Before that, Sales replaced the former small S-stores that were not part of any chain. As of 2019, the chain includes 308 stores in Finland.
DUO is a shopping center located in Hervanta, Tampere, Finland. Its original part was designed by the architects Raili and Reima Pietilä, and was completed in the autumn of 1979. The duo has three large grocery stores: Lidl, S-market and K-Supermarket. In addition, there are Alko and Tokmanni as well as restaurants, specialty shops and other commercial services. There is an underground parking garage on the ground floor. There is a total of 11,700 square meters of retail space for rent in the shopping center.
Prisma is a Finnish chain of hypermarkets belonging to S Group. In Finland there are currently 74 stores in 51 different cities. The first Prisma store opened in Jyväskylä in 1972. In addition to food and groceries, Prisma's selection includes a wide collection of clothing, sporting goods, books, toys, entertainment and home accessories.
Arabia is a shopping centre located in the Arabianranta district of Helsinki, Finland. From 2015 to 2019 it was owned by Citycon. In June 2019 Citycon sold the shopping centre to the Nordic building investor company NREP. The shopping centre was opened in 2002 in industrial buildings left empty by Kotisaari and Ingman.
Veikkola is a village in Kirkkonummi municipality in Uusimaa, Finland. It is located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the municipal center along the Helsinki–Turku Highway (E18), near the border of Vihti. The regional road 110 also passes through the village. Veikkola has almost 6,000 inhabitants. Near Veikkola is the Nuuksio National Park.
