KLVJ (102.1 MHz, "K-Love" is a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to Encinitas, California and serving San Diego County. The station is owned by Educational Media Foundation and broadcasts a contemporary Christian music format as an affiliate of the K-Love network. KLVJ 's studios were previously located in the Sorrento Valley district in north San Diego. Prior to 2015, the station, holding the KPRI call letters, was locally owned by Compass Radio Group and broadcast an adult album alternative format. On September 28, it was announced that Compass sold KPRI to EMF; the station began carrying K-Love programming the same day.
RKO General Inc. was an American broadcasting company that, from 1952 through 1991, served as the main holding company for the noncore businesses of the General Tire and Rubber Company and later on GenCorp. The concern was based around the consolidation of its parent company's broadcasting interests, which dated to 1943 and were brought together under the General Teleradio umbrella in 1952. The company was renamed RKO Teleradio Pictures following its 1955 purchase of the RKO Pictures film studio, and then RKO General in 1959 after dissolving the motion picture division. Headquartered in New York City, the company operated six television stations and more than a dozen major radio stations around North America between 1959 and 1991.

The 2020 population of the region was 5,456,577, making it the largest bi-national conurbation shared between the United States and Mexico, and the second-largest shared between the US and another country. The conurbation consists of the San Diego metropolitan area, in the United States and the municipalities of Tijuana, Rosarito Beach (126,980), and Tecate (108,440) in Mexico.
