Fictional character background
The first trade paperback, Kade: Identity, was released in 2005. Set during the Iron Age, the story follows Kade as he tries to remove the Dark Veil and the demon behind the darkness. The demon Apollyon is ultimately the one who gave the order to kill all children born under the solar eclipse. Kade was one of those children and while his body died, his spirit did not. Reborn as a Child of the Black Sun he becomes an ageless warrior who has been bestowed gifts to hunt the demons of our world.
Kade spawned a spin-off title, Ezra , as well as an all-new series in 2006 titled Kade: Sun of Perdition. Artwork was supplied by then-new artist Stjepan Šejić, who has since gone on to work for Top Cow and Dynamite Entertainment.
Kade: Sun of Perdition, takes place 1000 years after Identity and is set during the Dark Ages. Kade, called "the Key to the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Chain to the Abyss of Hell", has to face once again the demon known as Apollyon. Apollyon has merged with Kamric to form the Beast known as Abbaddon. Kade and Ezra manage to banish The Beast back to the Abyss but not before The Fallen are released. The Fallen are seven angels who defied God and who are determined to bring about the Apocalypse. Just prior to being banished, Abaddon manages to free the Fallen and kill Ezra in front of a horrified Kade.
Kade: Shiva's Sun is the third series and takes place 50 years after Sun of Perdition, set in India's Golden Age. Alex Niklovitch is writing. The first issue is set for release in August 2007.
Max Allan Collins is an American mystery writer, noted for his graphic novels. His work has been published in several formats and his Road to Perdition series was the basis for a film of the same name. He wrote the Dick Tracy newspaper strip for many years and has produced numerous novels featuring the character as well.
Witchblade is a comic book series published by Top Cow Productions, an imprint of Image Comics, which ran from November 1995 to October 2015. The series was created by Top Cow founder and owner Marc Silvestri, editor David Wohl, writers Brian Haberlin and Christina Z, and artist Michael Turner.
Demon: The Fallen is a 2002 tabletop role-playing game released by White Wolf Publishing. Set in the World of Darkness, players take on the role of a demon - a fallen angel who descended to the Garden of Eden with Lucifer only to be condemned to Hell after a long war with Heaven. The game focuses on "infernal glory" as its central theme for storytelling and character development - the acquisition of power to restore the Fallen's grace as well as to potentially reconnect with humanity, all the while staving off their own agony and evading monstrous demons.
Arcana Studio is a Canadian animation studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded as a comic book publisher by former Coquitlam, British Columbia school teacher Sean O'Reilly in 2004, in 2012 Arcana opened its animation division.

"The Phoenix on the Sword" is one of the original short stories about Conan the Cimmerian, written by American author Robert E. Howard, and first published in Weird Tales magazine, in December, 1932. The tale, in which Howard created the character of Conan, was a rewrite of the unpublished Kull story, "By This Axe I Rule!", with long passages being identical. The Conan version of the story was republished in the collections King Conan and Conan the Usurper. It has most recently been republished in the collections The Conan Chronicles Volume 2: The Hour of the Dragon and Conan of Cimmeria: Volume One (1932-1933). It is set in the pseudo-historical Hyborian Age and details Conan foiling a nefarious plot to unseat him as king of Aquilonia.
Azazel is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, in particular those featuring the X-Men. A mutant with the power of teleportation, he is the father of the X-Men's Kiwi Black and Nightcrawler.
The Eye of Agamotto is a fictional mystical item appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and in their Marvel Cinematic Universe films, with its first appearance in Doctor Strange. The item appears in publications in particular those featuring Doctor Strange. The Eye of Agamotto and Agamotto in his caterpillar form also guest starred in the Gold Key Dark Shadows comic book Collinwood Possessed!. The Eye of Agamotto is the name commonly given to the amulet Strange wears on his chest, though the Eye actually resides within the amulet and is released from time to time.
