Kai Rapsch (born in 1978) is a German oboist, cor anglais player and entrepreneur.
Born in Berlin, Rapsch attended the Musikgymnasium Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach . At the age of 15 he entered the Julius-Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts. From 1997 he studied in the oboe class of Burkhard Glaetzner. From 2000 to 2004 he studied with Günther Passin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. [1]
During his studies he was a member of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. Since 2004 he has been principal English horn and oboist with the Munich Philharmonic. [2] He is also a lecturer at the Orchestra Academy there.
Recitals, chamber concerts and master classes have taken him to music festivals in Dresden, Salzburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as well as to Japan and South Korea. As a soloist he has performed with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Chamber Ensemble Salzburg Orchestra Soloists, the Bach Collegium Munich and the Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum in Leipzig.
In 2012 he founded the company Reeds for Oboes, with which he distributes handmade reeds for English Horn, oboe d'amore and oboes worldwide. [3]
In 1994/95 Rapsch was a music scholar of the Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung zur Förderung junger Künstler [4] He has repeatedly been awarded at the federal competition Jugend musiziert. In 1999 he was a prizewinner at the international competition of the Konzertgesellschaft München. [5] In 2000 he received the 2nd prize in the oboe competition of the Handel Festival, Halle, of the Händel-Förderpreis der Stadt Halle . [6]

David Reichenberg was an American oboist and a highly respected specialist on the baroque oboe. He was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa and learnt the flute, violin, and piano as a child. He began his oboe studies with Dr. Myron E. Russell of the University of Northern Iowa. Beginning in 1969, Reichenberg studied at the Indiana University School of Music, continuing his oboe studies with Jerry Sirucek, former oboist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Graduating in 1972, Reichenberg moved to Salzburg, where he attended the Mozarteum. It was in Salzburg that Reichenberg met Nikolaus Harnoncourt, director of Concentus Musicus Wien. Reichenberg became increasingly interested in playing the oboe's repertoire on the instrument for which it had been written and, with the assistance of Harnoncourt, moved to Vienna in order to study baroque oboe with Jürg Schäftlein. He simultaneously studied oboe making with Paul Hailperin, building the instrument upon which he played for four years. Reichenberg took part in many concerts and recordings with Concentus Musicus, and gradually increased his activities with that group.

Howard Arman is an English choral conductor and opera director. He won the Handel Prize of the Handel Festival, Halle, in 1996, shaped the festival's orchestra and conducted operas of George Frideric Handel. He is a conductor of the Theater and Philharmonie Thüringen, also the Luzerner Theater. Since 2017 he is the Director of the Bayerische Rundfunk Chor.
Susanne Regel is a German oboist working as solo artist and with international ensembles. She specializes in baroque oboe, the classical oboe, and the romantic oboe. Regel also teaches at several universities in Germany.
Nils Mönkemeyer is a German violist and academic teacher. He has recorded several CDs, of viola literature and arrangements for the viola, making it a respected solo instrument. He has been awarded several international prizes.

He was the Generalmusikdirektor for the opera companies Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Theater Münster and Deutsche Oper Berlin. He premiered music in opera and concert, such as Giselher Klebe's Die tödlichen Wünsche, Aribert Reimann's Melusine, Nicolas Nabokov's Love's Labour's Lost, and Wilhelm Killmayer's song cycle Tre Canti di Leopardi.
Philippe Tondre is a French-British classical oboist. He has served as Principal Oboist of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2020, and a professor of Oboe at the Curtis Institute of Music since 2022.
