Kaistarniemi (Finnish; Kaistarudden in Swedish) is a district and a suburb of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the eastern part of the island of Hirvensalo, off the city's coastline.

The current (as of 2004) population of Kaistarniemi is 630, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 9.21%. 26.03% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 12.22% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 87.62% Finnish, 9.68% Swedish, and 2.70% other.

The district is located on the historical centre of the city, and contains numerous cultural and historical venues, such as the Luostarinmäki handicrafts museum, the Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova twin museums, and the Old Great Square, the city's oldest marketplace. It also hosts events such as the Medieval Market of Turku. A large portion of the district's land area is also taken up by the Vartiovuori park.

Paattinen

Paattinen is a village in south-west Finland and a district of the city of Turku. It is located to the north of the city, and is the largest of the city's districts by area. It borders the neighbouring municipalities of Vahto, Nousiainen, Mynämäki, Pöytyä, Aura and Lieto. It is rather sparsely populated, and has a population of only 2,430 despite being much larger than any other of the city's districts. Paattinen has an annual population growth rate of 0.99%.

Pansio

Pansio is a district and a suburb of the city of Turku, Finland. It is located in the western part of the city. It has a population of 2,809, and an annual population growth of -3.83%.

VIII District, Turku

The VIII District, also known as Port Arthur, is one of the central districts of Turku, Finland. It is located on the west side of the river Aura, between Puistokatu and the IX District (Länsiranta). The district consists mostly of wooden houses, separated by narrow streets paved with cobblestones. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful residential districts in the whole of Finland, and has received an award to that effect in 2001. Port Arthur is one of the most expensive districts in Turku to live in.

Pitkämäki

Pitkämäki is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the southeast of the city, and consists of several residential suburbs and industrial area. Pitkämäki is the only district in Turku to be divided among three different wards: the industrial area belongs to the City Centre ward, the high-density residential area of Suikkila to Kuninkoja, and the low-density residential area of Muhkuri to Naantalintie.

Iso-Heikkilä

Iso-Heikkilä is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the west of the city centre, bordering on the city centre's VIII District.

Korppolaismäki

Korppolaismäki is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the south of the city centre, on the eastern side of the mouth of the river Aura. The district shares the new luxurious residential area of Majakkaranta with the neighbouring district of Pihlajaniemi.

Kurjenmäki
