Helsinki is the capital and most populous city in Finland. It is on the shore of the Gulf of Finland and is the seat of southern Finland's Uusimaa region. About 682,000 people live in the municipality, with 1.26 million in the capital region and 1.6 million in the metropolitan area. "Ievan polkka" is a Finnish song with lyrics printed in 1928 and written by Eino Kettunen to a traditional Finnish polka tune. The song is sung in an Eastern Savonian dialect spoken in North Karelia. It is sung from the point of view of a young man, about a woman called Ieva who sneaks out and dances the polka with him all night. The song is often mistaken for a traditional folk song, but the lyrics by Eino Kettunen are still under copyright. Later, a scat singing version of the song by the band Loituma was incorporated into the viral animation Loituma Girl. In 2007, the song was brought into worldwide popular culture through a cover sung by Hatsune Miku, with Otomania arranging the music and providing Miku's voice manipulation.
Sunrise Avenue was a Finnish rock band originally formed in 2002 in Helsinki, Finland. In the early days, the band was called Sunrise and the name was changed to Sunrise Avenue in 2003. Their style varies from rock and pop-rock to rock ballads. Sunrise Avenue's best known songs are "Hollywood Hills" (2011), "Fairytale Gone Bad" (2006), "Forever Yours" (2007), "The Whole Story" (2009), "Heal Me" (2007), "Welcome to My Life" (2009), and "Heartbreak Century" (2017). The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, three live DVDs, a best-of album and 21 singles. They are successful and known across continental Europe, especially their home country and Germany as well as some Eastern European countries.

Niclas Benjamin Peltonen, known mononymously as Benjamin, is a Finnish singer and songwriter. He originally gained recognition through his Instagram profile, created in 2012. In May 2014, Peltonen signed a record deal with Warner Music Finland.
Tie Vapauteen is an album by the Finnish rapper Paleface and the band Laulava unioni, released in Finland at the end of November 2019. It contains newly recorded versions of Finnish-American industrial folk music songs.
Rita Marketta Behm is a Finnish singer and songwriter. She uses her surname as her stage name. Behm rose to popularity in 2019 when Warner Music Finland released her hit single "Hei rakas", a number-one hit in Finland for 10 consecutive weeks.
Kuumaa is a Finnish pop band founded in 2016 in Helsinki, Finland. They released their first self-titled album Kuumaa in April 2019 and have since become one of the most popular bands in Finland with close to 150 million streams and three released albums.
Linda-Maria Raninen, known as Mercedes or Mercedes Bentso is a Finnish rapper. Her lyrics deal with substance dependence, violence and discrimination.
