Kamna Pathak (born 3 June 1989) is an Indian television actress, she predominantly worked in Hindi television and theatre. She is known for her role as Rajesh in the Hindi comedy show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan .

Early life

Pathak was born on 3 June 1989 in rural suburbs of Allahabad and raised in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, her paternal hometown is Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. [1] [2] [3]

She received a Bachelor's degree in Hindi Honours from Miranda House, Delhi. She is also a graduate of Barry John’s Acting Studio, where she honed her acting skills. [4] [5] [6] [7]

Pathak comes from a close-knit family, with her father, Shiv Shankar, and mother, Rajee Pathak, being supportive of her career, she also has a brother. [4] [1] [8]

According to Pathak, she is also an amateur folk singer. [9]

Career

Pathak began acting in theatre when she was just 5 years old. She is associated with the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) in Mumbai and has acted in several plays, including Chanakya, Aakhiri Shama, Jab Khuli Kitaab and Kabuliwala . Her break into mainstream entertainment came with the 2016 English film Mango Dreams , in which she played a supporting role. [4] [10] [2]

However, it was her 2017 appearance as a mentor in the children's reality show Sabse Bada Kalakar that brought her recognition. [11]

In 2019, she appeared in the comedy television series Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, where she played Rajesh, the wife of Happu Singh, portrayed by Yogesh Tripathi. [12] [13]

Career break in 2023

On 25 July 2023, she took an Instagram post to announce a career break from acting after experiencing a near-death accident. [14]

In 2024, she started singing religious songs (bhajans) with her family and posted these videos on her YouTube channel, she also collaborated with Maithili Thakur for YouTube videos of Bhajans. [15]

Personal life

Pathak married actor Sandeep Shridhar on 8 December 2022 with Marathi rituals in Nagpur, Maharashtra. [16] [17]

Pathak comes from a vegetarian family and has a Zoophobia. [18] [19]
