The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,is the provincial government of the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its powers and structure are set out in the provisions of the 1973 Constitution,in which 32 districts come under its authority and jurisdiction. The government includes the cabinet,selected from members the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly,and the non-political civil staff within each department. The province is governed by a unicameral legislature with the head of government known as the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister,invariably the leader of a political party represented in the Assembly,selects members of the Cabinet. The Chief Minister and Cabinet are thus responsible the functioning of government and are entitled to remain in office so long as it maintains the confidence of the elected Assembly. The head of the province is known as the Governor,appointed by the federal government,on behalf of the President,while the administrative boss of the province is Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Akram Khan Durrani is a Pakistani politician who was the Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,in office from 2 October 2018 till 18 January 2023. He previously served as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2002 to 2007. He served as Federal Minister for Housing and Works,in the Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018 and as the Federal Minister for Housing and Works in the third Sharif ministry from June 2013 to July 2017. He was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2013 to May 2018 from NA-26 (Bannu).
Shahram Khan Tarakai is a Pakistani politician who was Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Local Government,Elections and Rural Development,in office from 29 August 2018 till 26 January 2020 and later on Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education till 14th January 2023 when the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was dissolved by the then Chief Minister on the instructions of Imran Khan. He is currently a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 till January 2023.

Muhammad Atif Khan is a Pakistani politician who was the Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism,Culture,Sports,Archaeology and Youth Affairs,in office from 29 August 2018 till 26 January 2020. He is currently a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 till January 2023.

He served as the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan from 5 October 2018 to 10 April 2022. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till January 2023.

Shakeel Ahmad is a Pakistani politician who was the Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Revenue,in office from 29 August 2018 till 26 January 2020. He is currently a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf since 28 February 2024. Prior to that Shakeel was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2013 to 2018 and from 2018 to 2023. He has served as the Minister for Public Health Engineering. He also served as Provincial Minister for Communication &Works in the 2024 Gandapur ministry but resigned over controversy in August 2024.

He also served as member of the 10th Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2013 to 2018,belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He also served as member of the different committees. He is a member of PTI and is currently serving as Provincial Minister of Livestock and Fisheries for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Gandapur ministry. As minister,he stated that he would prioritize developing the livestock sector.

His tenure as Chief Minister saw various healthcare initiatives surrounding the Sehat Insaf Card,where he primarily focused on expanding the card to achieve universal free healthcare.

Sultan Mohammad Khan is a Pakistani politician who served as the Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Law,Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights,in office from 29 August 2018 to 9 Feb 2021. He was removed from his post because he was spotted in a video where he could be seen selling his Senate vote. He had been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 till January 2023. Previously,he was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from May 2013 to May 2018.
Zia Ullah Khan Bangash is a Pakistani politician who had been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,from May 2013 to May 2018 and from August 2018 to January 2023. He was Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science Technology and Information Technology but resigned from his post on 17 April 2021 stating that he is resigning due to "unavoidable circumstances".

He has been former Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Health,in office from 29 August 2018 to July 2021. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 to January 2023.
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8 February 2024 to elect members of the 12th Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On 5 August 2023,the results of the 2023 digital census were approved by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Therefore,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023,as announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). On 2 November 2023,the ECP announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections would be held on 8 February 2024. This election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
