Kaniz Ali (born 1985) is a British make-up artist. [1]

Career

In 2009, Kaniz left London-based Bird & Bird International law firm to start her fashion career full-time. [2] She is the international beauty editor of ASIANA Wedding International, and the founder of Books of Deen. [1] [3]

Ali's work has appeared on 25 magazine front covers, making up Bollywood celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Amy Jackson, Urvashi Rautela, Armeena Khan, Sadia Khan, Mehreen Syed, Fouzia Aman, and Faryal Makhdoom Khan. [1] [4]

Her work has appeared in magazines including Asiana, Asiana Wedding International, Grazia, Asian Bride, Khush. [4]

She is the publisher of two Surah books; Surah Book 1 & Surah 2. [5]

Humanitarian work

Ali has built schools in Iraq, water pumps in Bangladesh and a mosque in Ghana, and has provided aid to refugees in Syria, Palestine, Bangladesh, Lebanon. [3] [2]

<i>Kurbaan</i> (2009 film) 2009 Indian film

Kurbaan (transl.Sacrificed) is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Rensil D'Silva and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions. It is based on a story by Johar who co-wrote the screenplay with D'Silva. Starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the story revolves around Avantika Ahuja (Kapoor), a psychology professor in New York who returns to Delhi, India to caretake her ailing father and develops a relationship with Ehsaan (Khan). Avantika and Ehsaan fall in love, get married, and leave for the United States, where she discovers that Ehsaan and his family are linked to Islamic terrorist groups after witnessing the house arrest, domestic abuse and murder of now family member Salma. The film's backdrop on global terrorism forms the crux.

Cutting Chai is an annual media festival hosted by R. D. National College in Mumbai, India. Started in 2007 it is the biggest media festival in Mumbai. This is a three-day media festival where event celebrates the world of media and provides a platform for students and industry professionals to come together, share ideas, and showcase their talents.
