Karate was one of four optional sports added to the Olympic program specifically for 2020, rather than as a permanent sport. He is an eight-time medalist, including four gold medals, at the Asian Karate Championships. He is also a gold medalist at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games and a two-time bronze medalist at the Asian Games.
