Karavan is a village in Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 8,657 in 2021. [1] Administratively, it is part of the city Kyzyl-Kiya. [2]
Batken is a town in southwestern Kyrgyzstan, on the southern fringe of the Fergana Valley. It is the administrative seat of Batken Region. Since 2000, it is a city of regional significance, i.e. not part of a district. However, it is still the administrative seat of Batken District. Its area is 205 square kilometres (79 sq mi), and its resident population was 27,730 in 2021. The population of the town proper was 15,805.
Naryn Region is the largest region (oblast) of Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the east of the country and borders with Chuy Region in the north, Issyk Kul Region in the northeast, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China in the southeast, Osh Region in the southwest, and Jalal-Abad Region in the west. Its capital is Naryn. The region was established on 21 November 1939 as Tien-Shan Region. On 20 December 1962, the region was dissolved, but on 11 December 1970 re-established again. On 5 October 1988 it was unified with Issyk-Kul Region, and, finally, on 14 December 1990, it got back its present name: Naryn Region.
Talas Region is a region (oblast) of Kyrgyzstan. Its capital is Talas. It is bordered on the west and north by Jambyl Region of Kazakhstan, on the east by Chuy Region, on the south by Jalal-Abad Region and on the southwest by a finger of Uzbekistan. It is basically a U-shaped valley open to the west. The northern border is defined by the Kyrgyz Ala-Too, which also forms the Chuy Region's southern border. At the eastern end, the Talas Ala-Too Range splits off and marks the southern border. The river Talas flows through the center of the valley. The main highway (A361) enters from the east over the Ötmök Pass and goes down the valley to Taraz in Kazakhstan. Near the valley's mouth at Kyzyl-Adyr, one road goes north toward Taraz and the other south over the Kara-Buura Pass to Jalal-Abad Province. Before independence most trade links were with Taraz. The historic Battle of Talas occurred here.
Kök-Janggak is a city in Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan, located at a distance of about 29 km from the regional centre city Jalal-Abad. Its population was 12,117 in 2021. It is a city of regional significance within the Suzak District.
Kyzyl-Kyya is a city in Batken Region, in southwestern Kyrgyzstan. It is a city of regional significance, not part of a district, and consists of the town proper and the villages Karavan, Ak-Bulak and Jin-Jigen. Its area is 78 square kilometres (30 sq mi), and its resident population was 56,819 in 2021. It is situated on the southern edge of the Fergana Valley, 32 km southeast of Fergana, and 65 km southwest of Osh. The town is one of the oldest centers of the coal mining industry in Kyrgyzstan.

Bazar-Korgon is a town in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. Formerly a large village, it was established as a city in January 2021 from the former rural community of Bazar-Korgon and part of the rural community Kengesh. Its population was 41,011 in 2021. The majority of its inhabitants are ethnic Uzbek and the remaining 20% are predominantly ethnic Kyrgyzs. The town has a large open air market. Shared taxis to the regional capital Jalal-Abad depart every 15 to 20 minutes.
