Karla Linke (also Carla; born 29 June 1960) is a retired German swimmer who won the 200 m breastroke event at the 1974 European Aquatics Championships, breaking the world record twice in the process. [1] The following year, she collected two medals at the 1975 World Aquatics Championships: a silver in the 400 m medley and a bronze in the 200 m breaststroke. [2] She also competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke events and finished eighth and fifth, respectively. [3]
After retiring from competitive swimming in 1977, Linke moved to Sweden and worked for the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Dresden. As of May 2012 she was employed by the Swedish Embassy in Berlin. [4]

Yuliya Andreyevna Yefimova is a Russian competitive swimmer. She is the Russian record holder in the 200 metre individual medley, 50 metre breaststroke, 100 metre breaststroke, and 200 metre breaststroke. After making her Olympic debut in 2008, she went on to win the bronze medal in the 200 metre breaststroke in 2012, and silver medals in the 100 metre and 200 metre breaststroke in 2016. She is a six-time World Champion, winning the 50 metre breaststroke in 2009 and 2013, the 100 metre breaststroke in 2015, and the 200 metre breaststroke in 2013, 2017, and 2019. In 2019, she became the first woman to win the 200 metre breaststroke at a FINA World Aquatics Championships three times. She is a former world record holder in the long course 50 metre breaststroke. She has won 109 medals, including 48 gold medals, at Swimming World Cups.
Rebecca Soni is an American former competition swimmer and breaststroke specialist who is a six-time Olympic medalist. She is a former world record-holder in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter breaststroke, and is the first woman to swim the 200-meter breaststroke in under 2 minutes 20 seconds. As a member of the U.S. national team, she held the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay from 2012 to 2017.
Alia Shanee Atkinson, OD is a Jamaican five-time Olympian and a former competitive swimmer whose international competition career spanned 19 years, 2003 to 2021 inclusive, at the senior level. At short course World Swimming Championships, she is a ten-time medalist in individual events, including four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals. She won a total of 124 medals, of which 74 were gold medals, at Swimming World Cup circuits over the course of her career. She won 14 total medals in individual events, 11 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze, from her first three Central American and Caribbean Games, in 2006, 2010, and 2018.
Ariana Kukors is an American former competition swimmer and former world record holder in the 200-meter individual medley. Ariana now works in private coaching related to athletic performance. Kukors has won a total of seven medals in major international competition, two golds, three silvers, and two bronze spanning the World and the Pan Pacific Championships. She placed fifth in the 200-meter individual medley event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

She also participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in three individual events but did not reach the finals.
Kevin Cordes is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke events. He currently represents the Cali Condors which is part of the International Swimming League. Cordes was a member of the 2016 U.S. Men's Olympic Swimming Team. He won gold in the 4 × 100 m medley relay as a member of the preliminary relay, and took 4th place in the Men's 100m Breaststroke at the 2016 Olympic Games. He is the former American record holder in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke.
Elvira Fischer is an Austrian former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She represented Austria in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also held numerous Austrian records in a similar disciplinary double until they were all broken by Mirna Jukić in the early 2000s. While studying in the United States, she received three All-American honors for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and later earned a 200-yard breaststroke title at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, following her sudden transfer to the UCLA Bruins.

Having won 4 World and European championships gold medals, competing at 2 Olympic finals, breaking most of the Israeli national records for women and mixed relays – Gorbenko is considered to be Israel's greatest swimmer of all time.
