Rayat Shikshan Sanstha's Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College(formerly known as Modern College ) is a college in Juhu Nagar (Vashi) Navi Mumbai. The college was established in 1979 and was affiliated with the University of Mumbai, but is now conferred with Autonomy since 2018. The college is named after Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, a social activist and educationist and the founder of the Rayat Education Society. In 2017 College Accredited by NAAC with A+ [1] & 'Best College Award' by University of Mumbai. [2]

The college offers 3 year Bachelor's and 2 year master's degrees in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce. It also has a junior college XI and XII (+2 level) which offers Higher Secondary course in Arts, Commerce and Science streams under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, born in Kumbhoj, Kolhapur, was a social activist and educator in Maharashtra, India. A strong advocate of mass education, he founded the Rayat Education Society. Bhaurao played an important role in educating backward castes and low income people by coining the philosophy earn and learn. He was a prominent member of Satyashodhak Samaj, founded by Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. The people of Maharashtra honoured him with the sobriquet Karmaveer and the Government of India awarded him with Padma Bhushan in 1959 in India.

Kolpewadi is a village in Kopargaon taluka, Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India. It is located about 27 kilometres (17 mi) from Shirdi (Saibaba) and 78 kilometres (48 mi) from Nasik. 114 kilometres (71 mi) north of the district headquarters of Ahmednagar and 220 kilometres (140 mi) from the state capital at Mumbai, it is a part of Northern Maharashtra region and Nashik division.
